S21+ is a downgrade from S20+ in every category except larger battery. So why would anyone upgrade? Are we dumb or is Sammy crazy??

Depends who you are talking to, but for me these are minor incremental improvements. Variable refresh rate just mostly improve battery life. Depends how you use your phone, it might not save you much. I don't think we are talking about drastic increase here. Integrated 5g modem? What does that buy me? Whoppi modem and processor are on one chip now. UWB? Can I still listen to my Bluetooth headphone like before? I guess I can. UFS 3.1, oh I can see my pictures a few milliseconds faster or maybe start an app a little faster, I guess I would say that is a good thing.
the latest chipset comes with 10 percent more performance gains and 20 percent improved power efficiency than the 7nm predecessor. The octa-core CPU comes with an improved tri-cluster structure made up of a single ARM Cortex-X1 core clocked at 2.9GHz. It further features three Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores that are touted to deliver 30 percent better multi-core performance than its predecessor.

I plan to work remotely and use it as a hot spot so the integrated 5G is important to some. Not to you? Then move along?

edit:
Also a big update for tmobile users as myself...

"Samsung this week debuted its latest flagship, the Galaxy S21, with across-the-board feature advancements and, of course, support for non-standalone and standalone 5G both sub-6 GHz and millimeter wave. Of interest n terms of network compatibility–especially to T-Mobile US users–is the inclusion in some regions of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform which supports aggregation of TDD and FDD spectrum.
Why is that important to T-Mo subs? The carriers has a nationwide standalone 600 MHz 5G network and is rapidly building out coverage in non-standalone mode using the 2.5 GHz spectrum that came from its acquisition of Sprint. The Snapdragon 888 will allow aggregation of those two bands"

But how to list something you dont have. The timing is the big problem.
I ordered two phones with 2 sets of buds Pro on each phone order. 1 set of buds from each phone arrives in 2 days, the other 2 sets will arrive Feb 16th along with phones. I guess beatbuy gets buds in stock the 21st so I'll have 2 good days of reselling them before market gets flooded lol

Verizon requires checking or Debit card to get auto pay discount. I'll look at PayPal. My only thought with this is Verizon won't show as the payee on the chase card..paypal key will.
PayPal Key has been confirmed to categorize as the normal merchant for Chase 5% category purposes. I've used it once for my Fios bill on Ink and waiting to see how it turns out but others confirmed it works. It shows up as

What does hot spot has anything to do with integrated 5g modem? Sorry I am just an ignorant neophyte. We always move up the increase power/performance curve with the next silicon fabrication node, but Moore law is dead, it is not doubling anymore every 18 months. For normal user, fraction of speed improvement is not exciting new feature. Your long copy and paste doesn't really do much like it used to. I move on, sorry if this annoys you.

can't believe all the hype for this phone. Technically they skipped out on few areas and lowered the price. I guess lower price makes sense.

it really is not Android vs Apple but Samsung vs Apple.

Samsung and phone companies like you to think this is huge drastic improvements so they can sell more phones. Unfortunately these new things are not huge for normal average users anymore.
Like I said, some people have the understanding required to appreciate these new features, clearly you don't based on your descriptions of them.

VRR will improve battery life, video performance, and smoothness for games.

Integrated 5G modem, again improves battery life, improves 5G speeds and enables carrier aggregation.

UWB is not Bluetooth, not sure where you got that from. It allows much more exact positioning with lower power consumption. It will be integrated with other smart devices to allow things like unlocking your car as you approach or turning off your lights when you leave the house.

UFS 3.1 is 3x faster than UFS 3.0, if you can't see why that's a benefit other than opening an app a little faster, I'm not gonna spend the time explaining the ways that a jump like that impacts your daily UX.

Again not that I don't appreciate, my assertion is that I have hard time believing that average user really cares for these things. Saying I don't understand misses the point, saying I am a dumbass not knowing anything does not make your argument stronger. I still think most average users do not care about most of these things.

So it is slightly faster and more power efficient, what else does it do? What daily UX I cannot do with my slightly older phone.

The primary things a regular consumer cares about in their phone is how nice the screen is, how long the battery lasts, how responsive it is, and how fast their data is. UWB may be a little in the weeds for now, but the others all directly impact the standard UX.

Apparently the new cancel trick is by calling Samsung support to cancel and they might offer you 10% to keep the order laugh out loud

But no, the regular cancel trick by saying found cheaper elsewhere, take too long, etc. doesn't work anymore.
worked for me, but only 5% Frown

What do you say?

I guess if it doesn't go as planned you could always tell them no and try another rep.
