Hi guys. I received an email from Samsung yesterday with a link to the shipping label for the trade-in. My new phone is scheduled to be delivered on 01/27. Nervous about Samsung trade-in and small return window, I packed up and sent in the old phone right away. Today, my trade-in package is shown in fedex tracking with a weight of 0.2 lbs (3.2oz). I weighed the package before sending. It should be 10 oz.

Is it normal for fedex to have this kind of error? or someone already stole my phone out of the package? Should I be worry?
I read in another thread that someone here got his phone stolen. Samsung denied his trade-in, claiming the box was empty. He was lucky. A supervisor override the decision since fedex tracking shown his package was over 4oz. His was 8oz.

I did take pictures, video while packing. Hopefully it helps my case.

Yes the window is small....I am changing providers, etc as well during all this and want to be sure everything is smooth before I send back my old phone.

Samsung phone shipment delivery by Fedex doesn't require signature.
I bought 6 phones from SS last year. Every Fedex delivery not require signature.
Yesterday, I received the Tab S7, No signature require. Delivery guy just rang the bell, left it in the door.
Even Samsung confirm to me no signature required when I asked them about refuse delivery of my mistake order.
This is correct. I did not have to sign for my S7 tablet nor my S20+ that I tried to refuse order.
Becareful with returns with Samsung.

Here is my experience with S20+

Be careful with Samsung returns! I had asked for the S20+ and case order to be cancelled prior to shipment since I was planning on waiting for S21 release. The order ended up shipping any way. I was told to refuse shipment when it delivered but FedEx just tossed it on my porch and I was not able to do so. I figured no big deal I can print a return label from Samsung site to return it. I opened the box verified both case and phone were inside. I did not open either item and both were sealed. I printed the return label and placed the receipt part in the box. I made sure to properly tape up top and bottom of the box. I took it to my local Wal-Mart that had Fedex Office shipping inside. Got a drop off receipt from the lady as proof that I dropped it off. Few days go by and I received email that Samsung received the return back and are processing it. Next day I received email stating that "refund was unsuccessful" The reason listed was that phone was "unsent"
I contacted CS via chat and was told the box weight doesn't match and that the phone was missing.

I told them I returned both items as I received it. I had no intentions on keeping the phone as I was waiting for the S21 and had already asked them to cancel it but they shipped it anyway. Seems like either FedEx stole the items in the box or Samsung is scamming me. Never had issue before with returns or trade in but this has certainly made me uneasy.

In the end it was sorted out and they provided me $50 credit toward future purchase that I used on my S21 Ultra order but was not worth the inconvenience and frustration. Going forward I'll take pictures of the box with the return item in it, one with the return box on scale in my house and then another when I drop it off at fedex showing the weight and lastly make sure I get a receipt for the drop off. Not sure what else you can do but I posted this on the S20 deal page and seems to be common issue with phone returns.

The s21 battery performance appears to be catastrophically worse than last year's s20 on some of the review units that have been tested. If you search for the phonearena s21 review they got (1) 3 hours less 60hz browsing time, (2) 3 hours less youtube streaming time and (3) 50% longer charging time. If you take into account that the S21+ / S21u both offer *better* battery performance than the S20+ / S20u there must be something seriously wrong with the S21 - could be a software issue, but more likely to be related to battery quality, screen efficiency, poorly binned s888 socs samsung got at a discount or some other cost saving shenanigans.

Until someone figures out what's going on I wouldn't touch the base model S21 with a ten foot pole. It's hard to see how anyone wouldn't consider battery performance issues of this magnitude a deal breaking flaw when considering this phone.

So you're saying FedEx is lying because the shipment clearly states signature required and they will reattempt delivery for missed delivery. I'm sure some front porch thieves will have an early Christmas. 512GB S21 Ultra will be super nice to either sell or use. How do retailers handle stolen goods especially expensive items such as this. Now I know Amazon actually takes a picture that they left the package at the doorstep but they cannot prove it made it inside the house later.

For all those who has prior experience of pre-ordering, is there ANY chance that the 128GB version of S21 will be in stock BEFORE the pre-order ends?

Made an order, it was cancelled because I had mistake in my data. Wanted to put a new one but now the S21 128 is out of stock Frown
You may place exact same all items as in your cancelled order when it's in stock and call them to price match. They will do it. Remember key is exact same bundled items.

For those with credit card phone protection:

Will the phone qualify for insurance through the credit card if it's being financed through Samsung and not my carrier?

Add the S21 Ultra to your cart and then the S7+. Use promo code YOURGALAXY1RESERVEWA

If you have an edu or workplace discount, the s7+ will be $169.99

For those that want the S21 128GB on Tmobile but can't because it is out of stock. You can order the Sprint version and it should work fine on T-Mobile. As of right now the 128GB S21 in violet is available.

I asked the support about this opportunity right now but they told me they can't price match. All of the accessory discounts and reserve promo code will be gone. Would I be still able to price match if the phone is restocked after pre-order ends?
