I always used to despise apple phones, but samsung has pulled the same sh!t now. And TBH, the iPhone 12 feels like a premium phone compared to s21. Decisions decisions!!
How does it feel like premium if they're closer to being the same features? Looks like everyone is loving their S21U. Excited for mine to arrive in 2 more days!

Just the look and feel of it. The screen also looks better on the new iPhone. And surprisingly the face id is great. The fingerprint on s21 works like 50-50 for me.

I had the worst thing just happened to me with this. So yesterday I place the order. Mint iPhone 12 to trade. Just dropped the phone while getting out of my car, case apparently didn't do its job, and now there is a crack on the screen.

It's impossible to find out through Samsung what to do in this case because I can't find out how to contact someone and calling their phone number is worse than getting a root canal to try to get someone. If I send in my cracked screen phone that was previously not, will they still take it and just Give me the reduced cracked screen value instead of the 725 they would have given me otherwise? Or will they just reject the whole thing? Of course, assuming there's nothing else wrong with you there's not.

There is a bigger gap between the S21 and S21 Ultra this generation than there was last generation. The S21 Ultra has more ram, a completely different screen, more premium build, etc, etc.

Samsung's price drop of the base S21 by $200 wasn't all taken out of the profit. They made many compromises to do it. Plastic back, reduced RAM, etc. Then, they added very little new except for the upgraded processor. The corners they cut probably don't matter to a lot of people but it probably makes it less "premium" feeling.

For those that got the phone any issues running Android Auto? I'm seeing some posts online about this being broken. Source: https://www.google.com/search?q=s...e&ie=UTF-8

Apple's face ID is worlds better than Samsung's facial recognition. On the other hand, if you prefer a fingerprint reader, Apple doesn't offer you that option at all.

That being said, as someone who uses both an Apple phone and an Android phone all day long, I don't always understand the comparison. It seems like the software choice iOS/Android makes a bigger difference than the hardware. For me, I pick the software option I prefer and then find the best option for hardware that works with that software.

That sucks man. May want to just return everything and get your iPhone 12 replaced. Otherwise I'd expect to get another charge in a few weeks when samsung opens your exchange. You have to put a pre-populated device quality slip in the return shipping box that confirms the condition of the device. In your case they will no longer match for the screen crack.

I still want to do the trade even though I lose the $175 difference. Maybe I should just cancel the order and re-order it with the cracked screen trade.

I didn't know that's how the process works, so thank you.

Best time to try to "cancel"?
(1) While in transit with FedEx
(2) One or more bundle items delivered
(3) All phone / bundle items delivered
(4) After RAK10 and/or p@w posts

Just found out esim is disabled for all US models 😡 and a 10% save-the-sale discount might convince me to put up with it.

I screwed up my amfilm glass installation (dust), so switched to the hybrid I also ordered - I actually prefer the hybrid, and no issues with fingerprint sensor
I've got the amfilm hybrid coming. Somehow I was playing around with all the codes from the other thread and it showed up at $3.14 so I ordered.

I didn't want to go uv and it seems like standard tempered glass won't work, even with the S21 base, though there is a guy expecting delivery on one tomorrow that someone else says works.

I won't use PET film. Still scared from the horrific zagg products from years past where you could barely slide your finger over it yet other people raved about the product.

My concern with the hybrid is that it may not provide the same level of drop protection that tempered glass would. Plus at 7H hardness, I'll probably have to replace it more than I would tempered glass.

Why do you like the feel of the hybrid over tempered? It still feels and looks like glass but it's thinner?

I totally disagree. The s21 has lightning fast face recognition without a hitch compared to my iPhone 11. Maybe you need to run face recognition set-up again for the s21 or you have a lemon.

There are faster face unlocks out there, but all of them can easily be faked with a picture. Apples is much much more secure if you care at all about security. That being said I prefer using fingerprint b/c of covid these days. Hopefully samsung improved on their scanners, bc the scanner on my note 10 plus sucks ass and is only about 75% reliable.
