  • You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won't be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. Alternatively, you could pay real money for a game that one guy created, developed and constantly adds huge updates to on his own. There aren't many games I feel that way about this is one of them.

I have this game on PC, Switch, and on my iPhone. By far the best platform to purchase Stardew Valley, in my opinion, is PC. It plays better and has better controls/is more precise. I don't regret it on any platform, but the Switch version is my least favorite. Hope this helps!

Google it. It's not very straightforward but once you set it up, you could purchase other games from that region. Alternatively, could buy code from reddit. There are people that buy from other region and sell here for less.

I have over 500 hours on my main farm alone. If that's not a glowing recommendation, I don't know what is. Also, update out for PC and coming soon to other platforms has split-screen co-op.

FYI split-screen multiplayer is coming in a future update, though it might take a while. Multi-system multiplayer works though. Lots of fun in multiplayer.

Bought this on PC during the steam sale and returned it without trying..

Digital on switch is tempting. I hear good things about the game overall.

How is it on switch?

Highly recommend My Time at Portia if you enjoy this. On sale in the e-shop for $7.50 right now...definitely scratched this farming itch but also has RPG elements

I'm not going to tell people what to do or not to do when buying games, but just a point people should consider -

Regional pricing like this is intended to make these games affordable to people actually living in that region. The more people who abuse this setup, the more likely it will be removed for *everyone*. No, they won't remove access to the game you bought. (Probably.) But nobody would have access to a cheaper price.

Just something to consider in general across all game platforms and stores. If you can afford it in your local currency, it's better for everyone to not abuse regional pricing. (And especially for games like this that are a passion project of a single dude.)

Ditto for the actual game itself. I see the value in it but the seasonal cycles are highly repetitive and gets tedious fast.
