I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

Surprised it's not an authorized dealer considering how shady they're being lol.
Even CS are now playing these nonsense games.
I agree with other poster, even $120 is fine.

But I absolutely will not sign up for auto pay.

One advantage of the CS is they generally will not charge tax.

(although i read some CS can manually add that, if the decide to play that game as well)

I don't think is a lie about 4 for $100. The guy at the store told me the same thing. I guess they're changing plans now.
Is it not a lie? I got $100 for 4 lines anyway.

With respect to all the inquiries regarding failed ID check--is this because you'd done more than the limit of 4 /180 day period, or is there another cause that should be accounted for?

Answers to my question previously, indicated that it was likely a non-issue for somebody like myself who used the switcher rebate in late Aug for Moto G Stylus single line with no additional devices. Yet as more threads are mentioning some potential issue with regard to failed results, I am torn and would greatly appreciate any helpful information in making the best call-- Go/No Go for deal San Jose, CA corporate store / alt Santa Clara, CA.

what's harm with autopay? come back home and create account and disable autopay? won't that be good enough?

I agree, last time at the CS rep told there will be tax on the phones .
I told her there shouldn't be any and told her lets check.
In the end she said you are right , no tax, I stand corrected.
may be it was her tactic to make me decline, who knows !

You will pay $120, instead of $100 for the first month.

They trick people to sign up for more expensive plan so they get commissions. The 4 line $100 is on there store window. They also trick people if you sign up for auto pay, 2nd month will be $100, which is not true. The $120 plan has hotspot, a different plan. For those who keep the service, 2nd month will still be $120.

I got 4 moto g stylus in Dec. This time they didn't check my ID and I use fake name and address this time.
They did check mu friend's ID and address but my friend did get the phones successfully.

They are treating people differently, depending on how smart you look to them.

My friend just went to another corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for free. They did record his name and address on ID for verification record. They didn't even look at my ID when I did it.

They didn't check at all for me.
They even left the phones sealed for me. I finished the transaction in just 15 minutes because of this.

For my friend, they insisted to open the box and setup and made a test call on each phone which took more than half an hour.
