I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

I finally did my first metropcs in store deal. Went to Corp store 30 min away. Duck, one of the tracfone number turned out to be tmobile based . Ended up getting 1 N10 and free 2 Samsung A21. He told me you can have 3 or 4 lines, it will cost $120. I couldn't get 4 lines as for that I would need 1 number to port in.

Final point, paid $120 for 1 N10 with port in, and 2 A21 new numbers. It was $100 with autopay but i went without autopay at $120. No tax or anything. No upsell. I tried to port my primary number from cricket which had 4 months of credits left, but it went through initially but later their system didn't give approval for discount. I was told to try again with that number after a week or two or try with someone else ID. I didn't really understood the logic for this as I never tried any deal of metropcs ever.

Went to two more authorized dealer near me. Asked them for Nord 10 and they looked at me as if I'm speaking another language.

One of them even asked me if I'm looking for Samsung or LG. Sigh...
lol..nice

i know u know this...but for the newbies..

best is to try corporate store (CS).
even if it is a bit out of the way.

i would avoid authorized dealer (AD) like the plague.

unless u have no choice

many reasons that are already covered

but one can add, that the AD probably dont have stock of the newest phones either

Yeah, I told them it came out yesterday and they never even heard of Oneplus brand. No1

I don't even care if I have to pay a bit more than CS if I can get them easily. My closest CS are all hours drive and of course, no guarantee whatsoever that they will even have it in stock nor replicate this deal.

You may grab another number and go back there for another free N10.

I understand that putting a t-mobile sim to these metro phones doesn't work.

However, I could not get the metro sim to work in t-mobile phones either. Anyway to make this work. I paid for the service anyway, but didn't want to setup the metro phone just for a month.

just got back, 2 out the door for $80 flat

annoying thing is they needed to open the phones and do a test call, you'd think with the pandemic they'd try and not touch things as much as possible but nope... their way of not letting you walk out with sealed phones

Do they have restrictions on what numbers to port in? Can I buy two numbers on eBay, and go to their store for port in? I remember last time, they did check how long the number has been in service with the existing carrier, like at least 3 months. Do they still enforce that rule now?

If your putting the metrosim in a TMobile phone, you may have to call metro and tell them to sync the IMEI of the new phone with the metroSim.

If you do that though, the phones you bought from Metro will not automatically carrier unlock after 6 months.

Update... Red Pocket sells T-Mobile service too (and Verizon, Sprint, all four big guys).

So it depends what Red Pocket service you have.

You were upsold the $120 plan without even realizing it. You could get 1 N10 (since you have only one port in and can do 3 new lines) and 3 other phones for $100.

I have an unlocked LG Stylo 4 unused. Can I purchase a $15 Tracfone prepaid card, activate it, and then port it?

These in store deals are not worth the time and mileage, and the risk of a failed deal due to upselling / no stock / other factors far outweighs any potential benefit, even when you go to CORPORATE stores. They will deny having anything in stock if they feel you are doing this to "scam" them.
