I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

See my tldr post above - I am trying to do the same thing with a concern that it will exceed the maximum number of "instant switch" rebates - I don't know if those are all equal or the instant switch rebate for Nord10 is considered completely independent of the similar instant switch $300 off on iPhone SE

Dan
It should be 2 port in (switch rebate) per ID regardless what phone you get. If you want more than 2 phones, you can only get 3rd and 4th as new line. Still YMMV. Some stores force people to port in 4 numbers for free phones.

One N10 should be $40 out of door. Tax, activation fee will be YMMV. If using as tablet, just let the service runs out, no other action required. Make sure to remove autopay in your account.
Thanks!

Just got out of a corporate store here in Georgia. Paid 42 and walked out with a new phone. I already had a burner so no issues with porting. I don't know why they charged 42 instead of 40 but it's not an issue. The receipt clearly says 299 instant rebate. So I am all set. Thanks a ton OP.

This may be a dumb question but can you activate two ting SIM cards with the same phone?

Not at the same time, the IMEI checker will see that the IMEI is already with Ting. You might be able to get support to remove the IMEI so you can activate it again but I have never tried that.

Anyone tried one an unlocking service to get it unlocked? There's some on ebay that involves plugging the into a computer to get it unlocked, but I'm confused between a temporary and permanent unlock.
I have tried unlock services for metro phones in the past and they have never been able to and end up refunding me. The phone is able to be unlocked through the metro app on your phone after 6 months.

Ok so basically I would need two phones to activate the cards and then buy the phones and switch them over?

does N10 support dual sim ?
I'd also like to know this. The regular N10 is dual sim, but I've seen other "T-Mobile" versions of OnePlus phones sold as single sim, so it's not clear. I think the 7T was still dual sim HW, except for the sim tray -- replace that and flash and you had dual sim. It'd be nice to know if this one is like that, or dual sim out of the box, or (worst case) can't be switched to dual sim no matter what.

Number is likely serviced by TMo.

If I choose to activate 2 lines for $70, can I transfer one line first ($40), and then add one line later ($30). I am not sure if my transfer number would work, so I would like to port-in one number first. If it work, I will port in another line later, is that possible?

Target has Ting starter kits with $30 credit for $1.
Activate.
Get a new number.
Port out new number to Metro for OP's deal.
I plan to do this. How easy is it to get port out details with out any further plan costs for ting?

The sim tray only has a slot for one sim and a microSD card when I opened mine yesterday. Unless the phone has a e-sim built in then I do not think it has dual sim capability.
