I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

So I am confused; what about the plan that you signed up for? Do you not pay the next month ($100/4 lines)? or was that just a one time charge?
One time charge, yes, most of us will not pay the next month and the number will then no longer be active. It is pre-paid, no contract, so no issue in doing this. At that point (after about 35 days) you may sell them as metro phones, or wait for the 6 month unlock.

They will ask if you want to setup autopay, say no.

$120 no tax, but it must depend on the tax laws in your particular state regarding offers of Free HW for service sign up.
Yeah i was charged the tax for all 4 phones. And they opened each one and activated all of them in front of me. So now i wait 6 months to unlock?

I just bought a ting sim kit.
It brought 2 sim cards.
I used the LTE V1 sim card that starts with 8914.
Put it in an old metro phone that is unlocked thru unlock app on phone.
When I go to create an online account at ting it asks for sim number and it says. "Network miss-match between sim and device" .

For those that got in on the deal, anyone know if they check the address or the name on your id, to check if your eligible, i might ask my brother to go and sign up for 2 n10? The guy that helped me sign up didnt even check my id, but i did my put name and address on the sign up sheet. fiddled with the n10 and liked it a lot, might get 2 more for my parents.

Just let your brother use another address. Maybe like your relatives or friends. His name shouldn't matter as long as he never had a Metro account.

It depends on the store or the employees. The first day I went, they asked for my ID. Second day I went, they asked me only for my name and address but the employees were completely different from the first day. I even asked them if they need my ID and they said no it was fine without it.

is there anyway to get back the device protection money? i tried to remove online but it gave as credit instead of refund. is it possible to use the credit for some accessories?

nope, u either get a reduction on next month bill or lose it i believe. the agent was lying for a bigger commission cut, what was ur total? i was charged $140 total, 100 for plan, 40 as activation fee, but i found out that port ins has the fee waived.

You must wait. Just tried the same thing. They make it very hard to sell or transfer your phone on purpose. It's not just a simple SIM swap. They told me to wait until my month is up.

Paid 122$ OTD. 100$ for plan , 6$ each for N10's and 5$ each for A21's as device protection.

My friend who did same combination was charged 142$ as rep was saying not able to add 4/100 instead added 4/120$ plus device protections

Do you know what they check for with your id? is it the id # or the name itself/address. They never looked at my id when signing up
