I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

I tried 3 authorized 1 corporate in Riverside County, CA and then 2 more corporate stores in Los Angeles County, CA. NONE of them would honor the deal at $100 for 4 lines and instead all of them insisted on the $120 plan requiring autopay (they get extra commission for this) and all the 3rd party stores wanted to sell $20 insurance per phone.

They also would not honor the port-in free phones since my MNVO was connected to the T-Mobile network.

TLDR; went to 6 stores and couldn't get the $100 deal at ANY location.

do we need to have the port-in numbers switched on? The agent at CS store said, they will dial the number to make sure it is working. Is it true?
They never dialed my numbers ahead of time. They ported it to the new phone, then dialed the number to confirm that the port worked. But different employees may handle things differently so who knows.

Sounds like $120 for the first month is pretty standard and it's $100 per month after that. I don't mind signing up for autopay, it doesn't cost anything. At least they told you what the deal was, and they actually asked you about insurance instead of sneaking it on there without saying anything. But yeah, I don't see anything about a $120 month or autopay here on the advertised deal [metrobyt-mobile.com]. Oh well.

The receipt doesn't show anything specific, just a charge for $140.

Turns out they failed to put me on the 4 lines for $100 plan... they had me on 4 lines for $140 per month, which includes $20 for an insurance service I didn't ask for and they never mentioned. You should open up the Metro app on your phone and see what your next month's charges are, I bet it's more than $100.

I called their 1-800 number and their service was excellent, putting everything back to the $100 plan for me, but told me I need to get the $20 refund at the actual store.

I went to the store and it was typical used car salesman tactics. They said the extra $20 was "probably tax or something". I told them I knew it was the insurance fee addon, they said they can't provide the refund and I need to call the 1-800 number. So I called again, they told me that's wrong and only the store can do it. The employees denied that, I called again and asked the representative to speak to the store employee, they refused and just insisted they can't do a refund.

So I called my credit card company and told them I'm disputing $20 of the $140 and that the other $120 is legitimate, and I'm waiting to see how that turns out. Honestly I don't care about that $20 much since this is a great deal, I just don't appreciate the sales tactics.

FYI for anyone interested, I tried popping out the SIM from the N100 and putting it in my unlocked Moto G7, and it didn't work for some reason. Seems like Metro service requires their own phones.
The metro sim works on moto G7 but you need to call customer service or automated system to move the sim card number to the IMEI of the moto G7. Metropcs needs to associate sim card number with IMEI of the phone in their system, kind like old CDMA days, even though metropcs is fully GSM.

Even if you sign up autopay on the $120 plan, you will still pay $120 next month. There is no autopay promotions on plans right now. Only autopay promotion is for iphone SE, where you get $50 rebate back after 3 months if you sign up auto pay.
The stores are lying to people and turn off them from the $100/4 lines promotions. There is only one $100/4 lines promotion, plain $100 without any autopay shit.

The $120/4 lines promotion has been running over a year, which I wouldn't consider it as a promotion, just a regular multi line discount.

If you plan to stay with them for more than a month and want the $100 plan, call customer service and change to the only $100 plan and get $20 credit for second month. Otherwise, just forget about the $120 and let the account die after disabling autopay.

I paid $120, thought I could use some Amazon Prime but not, called metro to check.

Was told mine was the $100 plan and there is no Amazon prime or hotspot, autopay discount will take effect from 2nd month not on first month.

There is another $120 plan, $60 for 1 and 120 for 4, with Prime/hotspot and no autopay discount, so that's $120 regardless autopay.

I knew many got $100/4 but that's what I was told today. So if the store insisting the $120 plan at least get the later one.

Can anyone answer, if I port in but want to keep using service on my galaxy phone, the best approach? Do I port in, get the n10, then switch back to galaxy phone?

If you paid $120 and don't have amazon prime, then the store did actually put you on the only available $100/4 lines plan, and charged you $20 for other features like insurance, and storage security.

There is only one $120/4 lines plan, the one with amazon prime, google one and 15gb hotspot. The so-called $120 plan with autopay discount to $100 second month doesn't exist. It is the stores' lie to make you pay $20 extra, either by signing you up for the $120 plan with amazon prime, or by signing you up for the $100 plan and $20 for extra features.

Those who signed up $120 plan and autopay can check the MyMetro app what the next payment is due. It would most likely be $120, not $100 as expected. If it shows $100, check online account for scheduled changes because the store may actually signed you for $100 plan and $20 for extra features for first month and then scheduled removal of extra features for second month. The store will still get commissions if those features are removed next month.

I don't even know how to get the phone number to the two CS near me. They both have the same phone number, and it just gives me an answer machine. How do you get the store's actual real phone number?

Thanks, OP.

This is probably one of the best and easiest phone deal seen in the past couple of years.
$120 for 4 really nice OnePlus phones. Easy in-store transaction. Cannot ask more!

Now fingers crossed that Metro doesn't change their unlock policy in the next 6 months.

I am surprise that so many store consistently lie on the same thing, $120 plan with autopay, 2nd month will be $100. I checked my account, the plan is called AutoPay $30 Rate Plan Promo. There is 10GB hotspot per line. I don't see anywhere mentioning amazon prime. It's clearly not the $100 plan which doesn't have hotspot. It's also not the $60 1 line, $120 4 line plan because that plan has 15GB hotspot.
