I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

IMO Metro has always been a scummy company. Tmobile buying them gave them a spit shine but they are the same company underneath it all. It's similar to Sprint. Back in the day Sprint was much worse than anything I've read in here. People forget how bad they really were. I'm not surprised by any of the stories I've read about. That's really the shocking part.

I was lucky enough to walk in and walk out with my phone and service. If any games were played I'd walk and never return. I won't allow it.
Yes they played very nasty game today. For example, they add a "-" on the name. For some reason, the system just give an message like "this customer is not qualified for the plus discount. However, you are qualified for the regular discount". I asked them what that means they said I need to pay $70 for the phone instead of free. I almost left. Then I insist I want him to try again to make sure he type everything right. He tried again with the "-" and I caught him this time. After he corrected it, that error message is gone

Hello can be either Sprint of T-Mobile.

Mint is definitely T-Mobile.

Is there a way to check if the visible numbers I have are eligible for port in to get this promo? Do they really enforce 90 day rule? These numbers were ported out from Sprint about 82 days ago. Did anyone get this offer by porting in numbers that they know were on Sprint within last 90 days and things worked out? Thanks.
No, they are not enforcing. I ported from Sprint to Visible end of November and Visble to Metro successfully now.

I can confirm , I used the visible numbers that were on T-Mobile less than 90 days ago ! No hiccups , they may just check your DL to make sure you haven't been in any other store trying to replicate the deal . AFAIK and I did ask , they do not scan your DL or note down your DL number . This happened in a CS in Atlanta, GA

Been to AD store today and took two n10 for $140. I have been charged tax and they enforced to pay tax.
So in short:
Line 1: $50 for service and $30 tax
Line 2: $30 for service and $30 tax
So total is $140. Still a good deal.

I think the sales person guessed my intention. He did not force on anything like autopay and insurance, for formality he asked about autopay and insurance but did not force me.
But he called both numbers and they reached voice mail; so he questioned me on why the numbers are going to voice mail. I just gave some random excuse that they are my backup numbers and normally don't keep those sims on. He did not ask anymore.

Where to find the pin number in order to create the metro online account?
Back in the old days, it used to be your birth date (which they got from your driver's license) written as an 8-digit pin. For example, if your birth date was May 4, 1985, the PIN would be 05041985. Try that.

thats too bad.

wiki wouldn't have misled u

wiki says:

metro phones are initially locked to metro for first 6 months.

(locked to metro means u can only use on metro.
not tmoblle, not sprint. not ting. not mint. metro. only metro.)

metro phones will generally auto unlock after 180 days.
this is TRUE even if u ONLY pay for one month.

I need some advice:

I went to a CS the last hour on Friday night and was in store for 40 min pretending that I was checking all phones. I waited the last 20 min for the purchase. Had two numbers from Ebay/boost to port in. So I started the process with asking him to check the numbers, he checked and said numbers were good. Then he checked the ID and said I was qualified for the switcher discount. I got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $120, I asked for $100 deal, he said that would be with autopay but for 2nd month and after (basically $120 for both autopay and non-autopay for the 1st month, but $100 for 2nd month and after if on autopay). Declined the autopay and paid with CASH.
The activation started at 7:55. He opened all the 4 phones, wrote my name and numbers on all the boxes with a sharpie (asked him not to, he said that was company policy). At the end, he said, the two N10 were not activated prob there was an issue with the porting numbers. He said it was too late to call the corporate but gave me all the phones and said I should go back to store tomorrow so he could call to fix it. He said if I don't, I would be charged for the full price of the phones (lol). So I left.

Here is the question: Obviously, I'm not going back to store but what should I do if the two N10 are not activated?

Hey, good job! You got them all huh?Cool2

Why isn't it activated it? Did you try inserting the sim yourself and checking? If it's not activated then it might not unlock after 6 month. Sounds like he just wanted to close shop and go home before the activation process.

There's 108 pages on this deal and an entire guide section at the front. You weren't misled, you're just blind.
