from OP " Can call 800 number to switch plan and get refund after signing up instore."
The $120 for 4 lines is a rip off, should be $100. I paid $120 instore myself and upgraded to the plan with tethering and amazon prime. Some contacted metro but were only offered $20 credit for next month, pretty much useless. Most people don't bother because $120 for 4 phones is good enough. For forced insurance, some were able to get refund. I personally don't think it is worth the time and trouble to fight for $20 refund. That's $5 per phone.

First - extremely grateful for this thread and the helpful advice here.

Tried to do this on the phone: "The $120 plan include tethering. Can call 800 number to switch plan and get refund after signing up instore. There should be no tax on phones, and no tax on plan."

Talked to multiple supervisors - I insisted on getting a check mailed to me or refund to the credit card. I kept getting denied. They kept overly-explaining that it was impossible, that they could only refund either the full amount or none at all; or bill credit (which I adamantly did not want). Made no sense. Eventually, after the fourth supervisor, I said - fine - give me the full amount then. They said ok - and put in a request to refund the whole amount. Then they said the service would need to be ended - I said fine. Do I need to return the phone? The supervisor said I could go to the store to get a refund for the phone (a refund of $0? - I didn't tell him that though). Eventually he put in the request and said he was unable to cancel the phone service on his end bc the acct was too new. But the request for refund was alrdy input. He told me to go to the store to cancel the lines, and he said that was the only way to cancel. So I called again, the next agent said similarly - that you can't cancel over the phone within seven days. So I said - pls let me speak to another supervisor - can you just auto cancel on day 7 and not make me waste another call in the future and just give me a refund? After waiting for the supervisor, I was able to get a cancellation of four lines on the phone and a refund request processed. Before doing this cancellation, I asked if the phone can still be used with metropcs, another account, and the supervisor said yes. So ... I got a prorated refund processed. And I got to keep the phones, and now it's even easier to sell because they phones are not married to active SIM service.
This is called cheating as you agree before buying and you should submit the phones in store once they ask to go in store...if not you are cheating them

So the gcam is actually called gcam to download from Google play store?
Goof review and repped
I am using GCAM..... It is called MGC 7.6.008_Parrot043_V5.apk and it isn't available on google play. It is offsite.

*I put it on my Moto G Power, Moto G Stylus and Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. I don't delete or stop using the the regular camera app as it has other features like ultra-wide that GCAM may not have but GCAM is my default camera app. It really does take better pictures and I prefer the GCAM interface..... I will say that the Moto G Ace 5G moto camera interface looks like it has been improved over the Power/Stylus moto camera app.

I have an iphone 7plus on Cricket Wireless.

Is this phone superior to the 7plus and is 5g worth it over 4g? I only use my phone for business, no videos or games or anything of the sort.

Your 7+ is getting long in the tooth but WILL get the iOS15 upgrade. Try to upgrade a 4 year old Android anything to the current OS. Not.

It is still a solid phone with a good resale price. My 2016 SE is still a quality device. If anything, you likely have a lot of iOS apps and will need to start from scratch on Android. I suggest you look at the new SE that can be had for $50 when you port a Verizon or AT&T number (or one of their MVNOs). Cricket is AT&T.

And 5G is definitely not worth the hype.

Thanks, I am just going to switch to tmobile prepaid and keep the iphone 7.

Cricketwireless is $30/mo. vs. $15/mo for tmobile connect. I dont use more than 1gb of data per month

FYI... I've updated my post. Your phone will get the iOS 15 upgrade.

When these Androids depreciate to nothingness in a year or two, your Apple will still enjoy a good resale value.

Not sure yet. They said Monday for "next business day." So I'll check on Monday. Also, I heard two conflicting stories from different supervisors. It was like pulling teeth to get the refund though. Yes, they will push hard for bill credits. Had to go through 4 or 5 supervisors on multiple attempts.

Originally, I just wanted $20 back because I did not need tethering. The store would not allow 4 for $100; their cheapest was 4 for $120. So I tried to follow instructions to downgrade on the phone after leaving the store. My brother was able to downgrade and get $20 back on his 4 phones. I was not....bc the supervisor said I could only get full refunds and cancel service - there was no in between. So that's how it escalated to full cancellation/pro-rata full refund.
Trying to get a refund of the $20 is not really worth it. As stated in the posts, $120 is already a pretty good deal. If you can get it for $100 it's really hot
