Its cheap which is the pro and has 120hz via hdmi 2.1. The cons are a lot however. No FALD, dim screen with low peak brightness, bad contrast, fake HDR, cant display 4k properly, no wide color gamut, cant display blacks and will have a cloudy screen whenever you try to watch any dark scenes.

Picture quality not thrilling, just average. Everything works great, for $850 for 75 hard to complain. Hopefully it will last longer then $2000 Vizio M7 that just died after 5 year's.

At least that's the theory. Reality varies.

I would agree tho dont count on VRR if u need it and dont quote me on freesync, now Im not confident... i held this model in high regard as a complete gaming tv on a budget (still makes a fine choice fo many/most)

now that Im seeing LG Ad's not mentioning those features anymore . Where before they said "may not be availabke at time purchase, will be added later vis FW update"....and explicitly listed VRR and Freesync on these same ads.

Crutchfield and many other panel sites and retailers still have vrr and Fsync listed for thie un85xx models but LG prob not offering up the changes/issues
/delays to their sales partners

I still like it as a decent 75" gaming cenric tv for the price that will still perform fairly well with xbox one x / series x / s —- but the real solid next gen gaming tv's are at least 2021 models if not further out.

Ive seen wt least 2-3 brands that rushed to say all the catchphrases and keywords have issues already

and including OLED's (they suffer from major issues with VRR, or they did ) so dont think those
Are immune..,quite the comtrary i believe...

Bro people have probably already bombarded you, but the Q80T is a sick TV. Apples and oranges.

We bought this TV during BF. The picture was ok and we liked it. After a few weeks the WIFI started randomly disconnecting and you couldn't connect to the internet without a full TV reset. After troubleshooting with the concierge service they sent me to LG customer service. LG couldn't fix it and they were going to send a technician. Then the TV volume wouldn't work, again randomly it would go mute and you would have to power cycle the TV to fix it. At that point I contacted costco.com to come get the TV.

They came picked up my TV on 12/22/2020 and I have yet to receive my refund. I'll never buy anything again from Costco that I can't personally take to the store myself to return it.

My TV was a lemon and the delivery guys that picked it up said they've seen a bunch of those getting returned. But if you get a good one and don't have to deal with COSTCO returns, then you should be fine.

Not really ... trusting vizio is Bold...all that gaming engine advertsing and havent seen many models that actually just work ...

This tv:
I read that Freesync works,
good to have for me

I see firmware updates explicitly mentioning AMD card improvements

it has hdmi 2.1, AND supports all res signals from 1080p to 4k @ 120hz AND can actually display them (harder trick than most think) without dropping frames...and at 5.2ms latency..

I'll take my chances at this price point and manufacturer who makes arguably the best tv's in the biz ...
LG is recognized as the best only in the OLED world. The rest of its lineup has been widely reviewed as not quite matching up to the competitors.
