Found several in a Walmart, still marked at $129 ea. Haggled with management to price match Target, who was all sold out, got it for $50, the Target price.
That would be normal. Store Mgr. said they get each store's pricing from H.Q., but as Mgr, they have some leeway, & he over road the price. Just a lucky day/ !
Had to go out of town today so went to a Target that said it had them in stock and for the $50 price, Brickseek said it was in stock, Target app said it was in stock, looked all over the store, even had the employee check for it, I definitely suspect one of the employees stashed it or them until he got out of work to buy it.
I have had the employee situation happen many times. Once on a big bicycle blowout at Walmart, I finally got an employee to bring me to an unmarked closet, where they had 8 bikes all stored for employees, Did get one that time, but it is more common the most realize !
Used brickseek and called ahead and had them hold the last 2 at one of my local Target stores.
These were not with the regular Meat thermostats, but rather I'm a locked case with other on sale smart home devices.
For this price, well worth adding to my 2 wire boiler system. Installed and work great.
Hi. Did they give you the $50 price on the phone? because I called at least 4 stores which have them in stock but all gave me the $129.99 price, even the brickseek says $50.40. And at last store the guy scanned it for me and $129.99 ?!
Thanks
My target had 1 in stock but not on sale. Rang up at $169.99. Anyone have a secret way to get the clearance price or does it vary that much store to store? (Southern California)Brickseek showed clearance price too at that location
Not sure if they're the same as the one on this deal, but Massachusetts residents can get Nest Thermostat's for $30 at the moment from Mass Save https://www.poweredbyefi.org/mass...-snow.html
I got 3 of them recently. The box says model number is G4CVZ , SKU is GA01334-US, barcode is 193575007649.
Maybe other states have similar deals going through their utility companies?
I just installed one of these stupid things Yesterday and even though it said it was compatible with my wiring and Gas Heating unit , it is NOT.
if you dont have the C wire it will have a mind of its own and never fully charge. Heat would come on for a minute then shut off and restart. would say 71 degrees and then drop to 64 within seconds.
While you figure out how to add a c wire, you can try fully charging the unit using the USB port on the back. Depending on your setup, adding c wire may be pretty easy. My system itself was c wire compatible but the wire cable going to the thermostat didn't have enough strands to hook it up. So I just replaced with a new wire. I just tied the old and new wires together securely at the thermostat and pulled the wires through the wall, up into attic and then back down to my equipment.
