Home Depot YMMV for the availability of the total free tools available! I was able to snag a router nearby. Not verified but if you get a free tool, the price for the battery kit and tool should be split even in check out. free tool price must be high enough to split the cost of each item even. then you could essentially return the tool and get the battery kit for the discounted price at 100 and get the rest returned. first time posting!

Is this a good deal with the free tool? I am asking because there is another thread with 4 Dewalt tools combined with 2 batteries with the same price of $199.

Thanks for posting. I ordered the battery kit and a router. During checkout each item was indeed discounted 50% making the tool free.

Yes, this is a pretty decent deal with the 6 AH batt making the difference but the four tool deal is good also. I'm thinking, as I haven't seen it, that the four tool deal is likely brushed versions of tools at that price. NOW, some people will say OH, don't get the brushed tools, they are worthless... Wrong. If you are a homeowner/DIYer, brushed tools are great. Remember, they were top of the line like five years ago... Some are actually preferable to some pros...

Edit: Looks like that four tool deal are USED atomic versions. My same logic applies. I notice I cannot even see what the tools are when I click on that deal...

The kit is DCK489D2. This is from dewalt website:

Impact Driver, One-Handed Reciprocating Saw, Oscillating Multi-Tool, charger, kit bag, and two 20V MAX* 2.0Ah batteries. The DCD708 Drill/Driver is compact at only 6.3 in. front to back, and its high-performance brushless motor delivers 340 unit watts out (UWO). The DCF809 Impact Driver features a high-performance brushless motor that delivers 1,700 in-lb of max torque. The DCS354 Oscillating Multi-Tool has a DUAL-GRIP™ variable-speed trigger that provides increased speed and application control. The DCS369 One-Handed Reciprocating Saw is lightweight at only 3.13 lbs., making it 37% lighter than the DCS367 Compact Reciprocating Saw

Went with the 6.5" circular saw. Seems like a pretty great deal on the brushless version. I'll likely end up keeping the batteries too.

Website says "This Deal has sold out". I still went ahead, added items in the cart and received the "free tool" discount. Total before taxes $199, for the bag, 2 batteries, charger and Max XR 20v cordless router.
