Looks like they're limiting in-store pickup options to just the batteries, at least for my area. Have to have tools shipped home now. This means more time-consuming to go through returns.I think they do UPS dropoffs now though so maybe not a huge deal.

I am seeing the same as well for my stores (metro Detroit). I did an order/immediately cancel extra deal that was posted on a m18 vacuum a few months ago, I wonder if the same can be done with these (order and cancel extras within a few minutes)

I'd try if the angle grinder were available 😆 but I don't need any of the rest of the tools

I moved to an area where UPS Stores are far and few between. Do you think I should invest in a label printer, or is an all-in-one a better investment, for more local drop-off locations?

You have to have the whole order either picked up or shipped. No more splitting it up and then canceling this was disgust 3 weeks ago in the last post.

Sorry for the dumb question here, but whats the "hackable" part of this deal?

The discount for the free tools is distributed between the tools and batteries. You can return the batteries, getting the tools at a good discount (more than 50% off). The tools are overpriced and can be found on their own elsewhere for cheaper than home depot's normal price but the "hack" price is still a good deal.

Basically you buy with these BOGO deals and each item gets a pro-rated price.
You are then able to return the items individually to get batteries and/or tools for [relatively] very cheap after the return.

If you place the items in your cart on HD app/website you can see the prorated prices for each item. If an item shows an individual price, it can be returned individually.

Got the impact wrench and SDS drill. Wanted the SDS drill. $86 and tax after the hack.
