Agreed on the price. I have this breaker bar and it works well. However, I've also taken to cutting up a piece of conduit into 18" lengths and stashing one in with car jacks (my future self will than me when I'm changing a flat tire on the roadside) and a couple in my work room for when I misplace my breaker bar.

I have this and used it once. There is a lot of flex in this. I prefer to use a pipe over my ratchet.

Worked great on changing a stubborn engine mount. About to put it to a real the test on replacing a cv axle and crank bolt removal using the starter bump method. Hopefully I won't have to buy a high torque impact gun.

I like using a 50" pipe. 25/50.

Pipe length can be any length, breaker bar is a fixed length.

Where:
MoFF = Mass of Fat Fark
Jh = Jumping Height
LoB = Length of Bar

I use my HFT "pro" 25" breaker bar (often for $15 w/ a coupon) for loosening crap "all the time". From lug nuts, to MTB cassettes or bottom brackets. Even if it calls for 40 ft-lbs, why sweat it?

I actually also have the Quinn digital torque adapter, so this often becomes my "torque wrench" - why bring out another long tool? Love it.

its bouncy when I hammered it on a rusted in bolt exhaust, it hit my face and broke my glasses.

use a torch if you can, before trying with these.. the longer it is, the easier to round the bolt.

Right there with you. Broke one, then broke the replacement. I wasn't even jumping up and down on it like my older and apparently stronger breaker bar. Just using arm strength with no pipe extensions.

Since then, I've gone with wicked strong impact tools, mostly AirCat. Getting too old for that manual labor stuff. Smilie

Why is everyone who mentions using a pipe getting downvoted? It is simple and it works. Seems like using a pipe could potentially save you $8.99+tax and I have seen some "slickdeals" that save you less money hit the front page.
