It's too bad the home depot deal of $998 from some weeks ago is not back. I suppose if you have a couple hundred of Citi/Costco rewards coming in in February, one could use those to bring the price down more.
I picked up the HD deal and have to say that I do like the system. It takes a few minutes to get it setup under the car, but otherwise it goes up quick and the height is really nice.
Only issue I've had is the pressure tanks that help collapse the system don't hold pressure very long or consistently. I was lazy and didn't check them the last time I lifted the vehicle since it had only been a week, and as I was lowering the car, one side didn't compress at the same rate.
After much worry, I thought to check the pressure canisters and sure enough, one of them was at 0psi. Filled it up to 45psi and everything came down okay. But it was nerve wracking having a vehicle in the air and uneven and not being able to move it up or down....

recommend reading the owners manual section about air cylinder.
there is mention of a schraeder valve tool which can tighten the valve, if thats the issue..
Wondering if one could just leave these on the floor of the garage and push them close to each other and drive over them when not in use. Then pull them into position when needed?

Depends on vehicle if you can clear the height of the ramps.
If your garage is side of the house requiring to turn into garage..may not be good idea.

I don't see why not as long as the vehicle is wide enough and you're good about not running them over.

That's what I do. I have the slx7000 with extension (making it a little taller). No problems with low CUVs, but I wouldn't do it with sports cars.
I also use the plywood under the quickjacks and box covers on top to prevent rust from water/condensation dripping onto the quickjacks.
From their own page: "When the QuickJack Portable Car Lift is used according to our instructions (vehicle frame's lifting points properly engaged, weight capacity not exceeded, etc.) the lift is safer and more stable than any jack stand on the market."
Having said that, popping a stand underneath the QJ when its up just as peace-of-mind is never a bad idea.
Anyone see the value of this lift for anything beyond fluid changes, tire rotations, and sensor changes? I think the most serious you can do with this is exhaust repair?
At 17.5" max lifted height, doesn't seem to be high enough for transmission removal.

Problem is that it gets awfully crowded under there so you might be better off with a good floor jack.
They are rated to be used without a jack stand.
