Well... they are normal price $249.99. Costco and Best Buy among others usually marks them to $199.99. On black Friday they were $149.99. Seeing as how we won't be getting to $149.99 anytime soon, $159.99 is a good deal considering it's after holiday season.

It's all relative. $209.99 for Air Pods Pro at BJs isn't a great deal for November. But for now? It's a good deal.

It does make a difference. For $40 more, get the Vizio M51a that's in the other thread from Costco. Everyone just needs to understand the content that you play has to be encoded by Dolby Atmos to reap the benefits. But regardless of Atmos, the M51a has a larger subwoofer with wider frequency, the speakers have larger drivers and additional tweeters and a better remote.

I've had an older model for years, and have absolutely loved it. Zero issues with it over the years. Mine has HDMI in but its only 1080p, so it wouldnt be worth much use anyway. It supports HDMI ARC and the remote is great, they just updated the app as well and its very easy to use, just a bit slow to connect, even over ethernet.

I just got a in-ceiling system for living room, so I put this vizio in my bedroom, it does a great job projected sound 18 feet across my master bedroom to the bed. Would high reccomend this especially since its only 160.

How big of a deal is not being able to support atmos. Is it really something one can tell the difference ?

They had this for 150 at Black Friday at Costco but still a great deal nonetheless. How do you update the firmware though because the Bluetooth being on all the time is quite annoying.

Anyone compare this to the Yamaha ATS-2090 which is also on sale at Costco for $199? CNET has rated the Yamaha as the best soundbar buy for under $400 but the Yamaha is a 2.1 CH soundbar.

These were on clearance at Costco over the holidays at 99.97. How is 160 a good deal?

The consensus tends to be that true Atmos with upward firing speakers is fairly significant, but Vizio's new 5.1.2 M-Series soundbar has been delayed by COVID. The 5.1 M-Series that supports virtualized Atmos released recently as a Costco exclusive, I'm not sure how 5.1 virtual Atmos sounds compares to the real thing or a regular 5.1 system though.

lots of people werent impressed with their vizio.
that said, this should still be better than a google home max - now that, is truly underwhelming speaker especially given its audacious, insane 400 original price tag.
