I have one of these. The picture is very, very nice. Unfortunately, the rest of it is crap. The OS sucks, there's no other way to say it. It crashes at times, it gives glitchy OS messages at times that have to be cleared by the remote, it's slower than molasses. It's generally a mess. I would NEVER, EVER recommend Vizio to anyone.

I bought last year model of this TV. I'll never buy a vizio again. I've had nothing but constant problems. You really get what you pay for. Rtings.com is right that when this TV works it looks amazing... But as an honest owner I can attest that isn't always the case

Distance between the feet is 50.87" if anyone is wondering.

Also, for the bad OS, that can be fixed by running off a $50 Google TV or fancy nVidia Shield Pro. Let the external device stream and be your interface.

Same price at Costco.com. Will be replacing my Vizio PQ9 (slightly lower model) as the extra brightness (3000 vs 1200) and dimming zones (384 vs 200) should be worth the price difference of about $100-$180, depending on how much you bought the PQ9 for.

Picture wise it's a great tv. But OS leaves a lot to be desired. Constant crashes, errors, and other problems leads me to avoid it

I have last years pqx. It definitely gave me some similar problems at first and was having random shut offS. I called vizio, someone came and replaced a couple boards in it and now it runs perfect. I don't use the "smart tv part" and leave it on the same hdmi input because everything is switching through a receiver. I totally agree don't buy this tv with plans to use it for apps. Plan on buying a Apple TV, Roku or something similar.

Speaking on behalf of the 2019 version here. I have not been able to fix constant slight screen dimming when subtitles appear and disappear. It's annoying because having the entire picture constantly adjust detracts from everything. The blooming, eapecially around subtitle text, is very bad. Sometimes, shadows appear blue and while I did investigate for a fix, haven't tried them yet. Frankly, I bought this TV because RTINGS gave it one of the highest scores next to the Q80R...until they readjusted all TV scores an all TV scores went down. I kind of feel back stabbed by RTINGS.

Granted the most I usually use the OS is turning off and on or changing picture mode, but I just got a Vizio MQ7 (Vizio's upper-midrange) and haven't had noticeable errors or issues. What sorts of things are y'all doing when issues arise? I wanna check if mine has them too before my return window closes.

So, if you're viewing all your media through an Xbox, PS5, Apple TV or whatever...its fine because you're not using the slow native OS.

Thanks for you comment. I too own the same version and was hoping you could expand expand on what you don't like. The picture is close to my LG OLED, but agree with most, OS is crap. I was able to play with the settings and super happy with the picture. Not attacking your comment, just trying to help.

Lol thats best case, but most of the time I have input problems. Sometimes the TV will not see different inputs randomly. Vizio actually sent out a tech to replace the motherboard. It helped for sure but I still have problems.
