Costco has the Yahama ATS 2090 on sale for 199.99. Available in the warehouse and free shipping. I saw this was posted earlier on sale for 239.99 and now they have it $40 cheaper.
I was impressed by the sound quality from the demo at Costco. However, the lack of input options really make me hesitate to jump into this set. There is only HDMI and optical input. No regular RCA or 3.5mm input. I want to hook up a mixer to it to have Karaoke.
- Setup was very easy; it's connected to my TV via HDMI ARC
- Sub-woofer connected wirelessly without any issues.
- Built in Alexa works well. The only complain I have is how loud it is sometimes, since it doesn't have a separate volume control for Alexa (I wish it did). If you listened to some music at a high volume and then asked Alexa a question, she'd take over the house
- The remote is pretty simple, but it has all the buttons that you'll need to change the source, sound settings, main volume and sub-woofer volume.
- The app gives you the same functionality of the remote with nice visuals (it spins the artwork of the music you're playing via Alexa like a vinyl). The issue I have with the app is the need to tap on multiple buttons to get to a screen to change sound settings. The main screen only has the volume slider.
- The sound is great so far. I placed the sub-woofer behind the couch and it gives a nice sound and vibration effect. It's pretty boomy.
- Sometimes, after pausing a movie and coming back to it about 3-5 minutes later, the sound switches to the TV speakers. Turning the soundbar off and on again fixes the issue, but it's annoying. Nothing has changed in the settings of the TV or the soundbar that could explain this, so I'm keeping an eye on it.
- There's no onscreen display to visualize button presses. The lights on the unit are designed to indicate volume level when the button is pressed, but it's on top of the unit and pretty useless since you can't see it from across the room
- In case you're wondering, it doesn't come with an HDMI cable, but it includes an optical cable.
$100 off this sound bar and subwoofer at Costco. Their original printed add said it was just $60 off but on line and in warehouse it was $100 off. Great price and impressive sound.
This is probably caused by the power save feature. It can be disabled. Check page 38 of the full manual.

I can't believe this isn't front page. This speaker sounds amazing. I am not an audiophile, but listening to the demo of this, the Vizio and the $750 Sonos, it was clear the Yamaha was head and shoulders above the others. I recommend everyone buying in the warehouse to listen to it before you make up your mind, especially if you're thinking of getting something else.

I agree. IMHO the Yamaha sounded the best out of all the sound bars in the warehouse although the Sonos did not have a sub so I'm sure that would sound the best with a sub but is much more expensive. I have had Vizio soundbars and they almost always seem to have issues especially with hissing subs and weird volume issues.

ATS-2090 does not come up on the default sound bars page on the Yamaha website here: https://usa.yamaha.com/products/a...index.html
But if you search for 2090, there is a product page for ATS-2090 that is very similar to the YAS-209, here: https://usa.yamaha.com/products/a...index.html
Best Buy has the YAS-209BL, but no 2090 or (209 without the BL) here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/yama...Id=63558
