/out of focus compared to ips panels. For now im dell ultrasharps ips but id prefer an LG ips for better user interface.
Keep in mind that I don't like all va panels from my experience with the monoprice and then the dell inspiron laptop that everyone got. I returned both because the monitor looked fuzzy/matte
The onscreen split control is awesome.
I tried on MacBook M1 and 2016 MacBook. M1 - it does not work well since drivers in M1 are not updated but on 2016 MacBook and Windows 10 it worked really well.
The spectre one does not have vertical height adjustment. Given the size and weight of these massive monitors, I reckon this is an important feature to be having...

Both priced at $400.
Gigabyte 144hz, better srgb (120% and 85% rgb, better brightness)
As someone who mainly uses monitor for EVERYTHING (80% productivity, video/photo editing, 20% casual gaming) is the G34WQC worth waiting for? Does this LG do anything better than the Gigabyte?
1920x1080=2,073,600 = 2k
Seems 4k to me
Wrong. 4k 16:9 has 8,294,400 pixels. Its not by total pixel count its by horizontal resolution. 2560x1080= 2k, 2560x1440= 2k 3440x1440= 3k, 3840x2160= 4k
Ips creatives
similarly, monoprice is a value brand. they will tend to use cheaper panels. because one VA panel sucks, that doesn't mean all do.
with that said, VA panels may simply not be for you. some people can't seem to accept anything other than ips, and nothing wrong with that. buy/use what you like.
I stand corrected. I admit I was wrong. Seems a silly way to measure 4k when it's really 8k pixels which, btw, is an insane amount of pixels for a gaming gpu to handle which is how I look at it lol

If 3860 = 4K then 1920 = 2k and 2560 = 2.5k and 3440 = 3.4k
I looked it up. For some silly reason they only count horizontal resolution and assume a 16:9 display which is kinda dumb as you have different ratios in the computer world.
