Their shipping department was a joke though, no tracking....it just showed up a week later.
We people weren't so lucky and are still waiting for their orders from November.
It's a great printer, not a bad deal to pay a little more to get it within a few days

FDM printers can be a bit annoying at first in terms of learning about leveling the bed, supports, and replacement parts, but once you're comfortable with that, a resin printer is a good NEXT printer. I do recommend you put the resin printer in a garage or a place where it can be properly ventilated. Resin fumes (even the eco ones) can give you nasty headaches and it permeates the air really quickly. I did a 2hr print on my photon S when i first got it in my office and it spread through the entire first floor within the hour and everyone got a nasty headache from it.
Another thing to note is that, price wise, you can't compare a FDM printer to a SLA/DLP printer because they're different printing technologies. SLA/DLP printers are generally more expensive per build volume but they're significantly faster if you do a full plate print. FDM printers are better for large scale prints (like a mandalorian helmet or pieces of a prop sword print) but they are generally much slower than resin printers.
I haven't used the creality LD-002R or the Sovol but the main favorites are usually the Anycubic or the Elegoo branded printers.
If I were to buy a resin printer today, I'd go w/ the monochrome printer over anything standard LCD for cost and speed reasons. (monochrome lasts longer and requires a significantly lower exposure time).
but if you have never done 3d printing, start w/ FDM first. it's a bit more forgiving and a lot less post processing (and non toxic if you work with PLA)

if you're brave enough, you can even upgrade your ender 3 to print longer stuff by upgrading your rails and belt and modifying your slicer to accommodate the new length.

I started basically from scratch with zero knowledge but decided to go resin for the quality. Getting all the safety precautions in place now. Stay safe!
