And here I am, still rocking my Samsung LN55B650 from 2009, I think it's about time to upgrade, I'm curious, with the fact that tech gets better and better every year, what makes people want to upgrade so often?!

Still rocking my 2008 LN55A950 from '08. Hopefully the 77" will drop to $2500 this year so I can pull the trigger
I don't see CPS covering burn-in and the giftcard/ ear buds equals like $350. This doesn't look like a good deal to me.
This is the higher end GX, not the CX that most of the recent deals are for.
Having said that, I'm going to wait and see how the new, brighter LG Evo G1 does in ratings and burn-in tests. I love the contrast of OLED but I also like a picture to get brighter than I've seen any OLED perform.

I was waiting but for the frame for $1820 shipped with extra bezel. 75 inch, otherwise I wouldn't of bothered. I wonder if the 75 inch uses a higher end panel. They want like $3k plus for newer ones.
I still say go OLED or go home. This was for gaming so no burn in and wife liked picture concept
does it come with the base and magic remote? I don't understand why they sell the magic remote as an accessory.
Comes with the Magic remote and a wall-mount bracket, although it doesn't come with a stand, that doesn't bother me because I was planning on mounting it anyway
If anyone else is in WA/OR/CA and has a Video Only nearby, they've got some crazy deals on 2020 LG OLED's right now. They're unadvertised deals, and you need to basically walk in and ask for these prices. Video Only is willing to haggle for anyone unfamiliar. They were able to do the 77" CX OLED for $2599 or the 77" GX OLED for $2899. Bought the GX because I'll be wall mounting, and that is like $1100 off the current sale price. And they even threw in their 5 year warranty.

How much would it cost arranging for shipping from Portland to NJ. Is it worth arranging a shipping ourselves.

That is unusual. Distribution price dropped that much? Profit margins are usually not that high on the retail level.
