Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

If you get lucky 🍀 understand one thing choose your carrier carefully. These phones are not designed to stay unlocked. They will lock to whatever carrier you choose when you buy them or to the first SIM card that is put into them. Good luck guys

Not true. Only for flex policy on the xs, not xs max and even so, you can request free unlock or buy unlock service cheap

Definitely not universal. Looking up my XS Max before booting with a sim shows US Reseller Flex Policy.

Electronics employee, actually a few at two stores. This store also kicked out OSL last month, so they were aware of WARP and how to use it... in basic terms anyway. Like I said, I got lucky with easy going and knowledgeable associates.

If I want to eventually use it on tmobile, what should i pick? Att or verizon??

No there are 2 separate companies running Walmart wireless and they will pull every phone from their inventory and send them back to the warehouse before they make their actual employees deal with wireless. They wouldn't be able to carry the phones if they did. Walmart barely has enough employees to run the store. What you are seeing is one company pulling out of Walmart and another company taking over.

Verizon definitely because they may actually help you remove the soft lock before the 60 days is up

Mine have no idea and still have OSL in store. Literally everything I said was answered with "i know nothing about phones, that's osl"

You did get lucky because a lot of the Walmart associates think learning warp is beneath them and OSL and my company have been fighting for control over the Walmart wireless program for years. They just gave OSL control over almost 400 additional Walmart's. Not sure what's going on in your store but they will end up with a new rep eventually
