Few days ago , same card had "5% cash back on grocery store purchases (not including Target or Walmart purchases) on up to $12,000 spent in your first year of account opening"
I have two Freedoms and a Freedom Unlimited. Can I get this card and the signup bonus?

Good deal! There is an additional/extra $100 referral bonus that can be earned by a friend/family member who already has a Chase card, if you use their referral link and apply online. Sometimes friends or family will split that referral bonus with you.
Can I refer myself to a different chase card than I have and earn $100? Asking for a friend. If not I guess I can refer my wife
I'm not sure what "unnecessary overhead" means, but the prevailing wisdom is that cancelling credit cards shortly after receiving a sign-up bonus is a bad idea. But do whatever you want, obviously.
In any event, this is a pretty good card to have if you care about accumulating points. You're not going to find that many cards that do better than 5X/5% in a given category.
Just don't use the card for a long time and the company will automatically cancel it for you due to inactivity. I've had it happen to me with an Amex blue card and BoA major league card.
I don't see my $200 bonus in my account anymore after having the card for over a year. I haven't used it yet, so now i logged in and looked everywhere...don't see the $200 bonus. Is there an expiration on having to use the $200 bonus?
No, that's for the Freedom Unlimited. There is no reference to the 5% gas bonus on the Flex application page.
I just read the terms and conditions for the flex card. Their site says 5% off gas for first 12 months or 6K, whichever comes first. Anyone can confirm?

I don't see this on the Flex page, only the Unlimited card. Do you have a link or a screenshot?
edit: Found it! You're right. This is a great offer. They just added this! It doesn't show up on OP's link. This one shows it[chase.com].

It is! I was asking because I got the unlimited 3 months ago with 5% off gas too, so getting the flex would be a wast for me. I rather wait the 12 months then get the flex.
Dang. I applied as a guest online and I got an email saying it could take 30 days for them to make a decision and I have to wait for it via mail.
Unfortunately, it's likely you were denied. Don't wait the 30 days and instead call the Chase Reconsideration line (888-270-2127). If you speak with a human and tell them your credit history, why you want the card (E.g., you're excited to get into the Chase ecosystem), and how you'll be using it (E.g., you have upcoming home improvement spend), you have a shot at getting approved. If that doesn't work, call back the next day and try again. And again. With luck, you'll eventually get the right agent who will be sympathetic to your request. If you do get approved, make sure you ask for the card to be expedited to you. 1-day shipping is free if you ask for it. Good luck! ๐๐

FYI, according to the Chase website, the 5% gas offer is actually ending soon. Hopefully it will rotate back to the 5% groceries offer because I work from home and the gas bonus is not best for my situation. Best case scenario for me is that the offer expires at the end of this month and the new offer begins starting in October. Hope that helps!
Any other cards giving 5%on groceries and a bonus too?
My Amex Blue Cash Preferred (not Everyday) gives 6% CB on groceries. It's not free from annual fee, and I'm uncertain if there's a bonus going on it currently.

That's what it said in the Chase official website.
