They would be my hero if they came out with an Acrobat-like program. Imagine paying $50 for an Acrobat Pro-like app instead of the highway robbery prices Adobe charges!
Finally somebody took advantage of Adobe's greed.

I'm getting an error redeeming the code. Adobe's website says this code has already been redeemed, it was less than 5 minutes after receving the code did I try and use it.
Chatted with staples cs and they say that are looking into it. Anyone else run into this issue?
damn, so i bought affinity photo and designer. They're literal photoshop and illustrator killers. I've had a pirated photoshop 7 and 12 and lost both. I've been using gimp and other free photo programs for the past 9 years or so but missed photoshop. Thanks to all of you here for recommending affinity. for $50 i've got a photo and designer and couldn't be happier.
weird that i've never once heard of this company before until now..wikied and they've been around since 1987??? i mean i was a paint shop pro guy back in the day, and corel (and gimp), but i'm surprised this company hasn't gained more mindshare for how long they've been around. good for them to have deals like this, though..does it beat the recent corel humblebundle?

Serif PagePlus was their initial claim to fame I think. It was one of the better "consumer" desktop publishing apps to be released on Windows. Back in the day I tried some of their other apps as well such as PhotoPlus and WebPlus but always felt like they were too limited in comparison to Adobe and Macromedia's alternatives. PagePlus however had practically all the flexibility needed for projects destined for a desktop printer without the jacked up price found on QuarkXpress and PageMaker.
I'm happy to see Serif rebranding their self without the over inflated pricing of Adobe.
Literally a Reddit thread a few days ago about this as a great Photoshop alternative, mentioned they occasionally have 50% off sales! Happy to grab it so quickly. Thank you!
Much better than monthly subscription from Adobe, this software can do what Adobe could for 25 bucks compared to other greedy plans from greedy company. Why can't they just sell 1 version of Adobe for a fixed price so we would never pay again unless a major upgrade?
I use SumatraPDF for my daily driver just opening PDFs for reading as it's extremely lightweight and FAST, but FoxIt when I actually need to add or edit things. Haven't touched Acrobat in years.
Sumatra is also my default for opening / reading. It's very fast.
I purchased abbyy finereader 14 enterprise windows for $3.22 last year on fleab. Cheapest I see now is $20. It does everything adobe does and compresses pdf files much smaller than adobe.

As a long time user of Adobe software I can say their new must-have features were getting fewer and fewer. I would speculate that they realized their sales would tank as they reached a point where the software could do everything that 99% of the entire population needed. So a subscription to keep people paying without any extra effort on Adobe's part is what they really wanted. The only reason that succeeded is they are arguably the industry standard in almost every area of graphic design.
I just did a job for a printer who required the final work to be in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or Quark Express. It is hard to fully move to a competing software when the people you interact with demand an Adobe file types.
