Ordered a 2nd from my wife's account due to the 1 per account limit. Replacing WyzeCams because they are trash. Protect app scrolling through the recording is miles ahead of the other NVRs out there.

Can anyone compare Unifi Protect NVR software vs Blue Iris with basic 5mp cameras? I've got all Unifi networking gear and am considering consolidating security with a UDM4.

Honestly, these sell out so quickly it's not worth posting about. Just triggers people's UniFi alerts unnecessarily, IMHO.

There is no comparison. Aside from the cost the unifi protect NVR wins hands-down

It triggered a push notification on my phone, which allowed me to buy it. I think that means it's absolutely worth posting about, even though I've missed out on the last handful of times this has been available for 5 minutes.

I got the push notification as well, but I checked and it was sold out by the time the notification came through. Anyone truly interested would be far better off signing up for an in-stock email alert right on the product page. That'll be much more useful than an alert here, which requires someone posting about it and then SD sending out a notification, which doesn't always seem to be timely. 🤷 ♂️

In the past I have repeatedly had stock notifications come through hours after a product is sold out. FWIW, this time around I got a stock notification email (no push notification) two minutes before the SD notification.

Yes! That's what I'm doing with a few wired cameras and 2 of these wireless ones.
Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus, Unifi Dream Machine Pro, and the Unifi NVR are the three devices capable of running Unifi Protect at this time.

This is back in stock. I just ordered one (limit one per customer - otherwise I would have ordered a few). Not sure how good this camera is but I want to try the Unifi Protect solution on my UDM Pro and this is the cheapest camera that works with it.
