Testing standards for KN95 is actually slightly more rigorous than the N95 designation (as shown here by 3M's comparison [3m.com]). It is a standard, but that doesn't mean people aren't producing fakes for easy money during a pandemic, just like fake N95s or the masks people buy from Etsy. Powecom KN95 masks have been tested 17 times by the CDC since April 2020 (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/r...sults.html) and have exceeded the N95 designation standard of 95%+ filtration every time except for once in May in which they tested at 93-94%.

These masks are very good but personally it's not much more for the two strap version which gives a more secure fit. I bought mine from bonafidemasks.com.

I received my two packages from Office Depot today. I went to the Powecom website and followed their instructions for verifying the masks. Both packages have the anti-fake sticker. I scratched the coating to reveal the validation code. And both codes check out as valid. So, it appears the two packages I got from Office Depot are not fake. But as a side note the photos you uploaded look just like my masks and packaging.

I have not used this mask. But just from the pictures, I can see it's at least much thinner and not as sturdy as the Powecom ones, which I ware everyday. Plus, it's so ugly, makes you look like a froglaugh out loud
Well one is certified by NIOSH to actually do something. I'll look like a duck if it means keeping the virus out of my lungs.

Nevermind, found them: Kimberly-Clark N95 Pouch Respirator (53358), Made in U.S.A, Universal Size, 50 Respirators/Bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NVDF...cGbRRNWMTJ

Noticed these are not returnable, but to be fair most masks are probably not returnable. I bring it up because of the $57 cost. Many complaints for the KC mask is around the loose elastic so its somewhat of a gamble. The KN95 here is a smaller gamble at $10. Yes N95>KN95, but only if they fit properly.
You can also find Honeywell and Moldex N95s around the internet for around $2 a mask or so. I'll pay the extra dollar or two any day to get a N95 from a reputable brand.

I'm working in my crawl space and this is great for the dust that flies around. Thanks OP
First, I feel your pain.

Second, yup.. I picked up a few extras for stuff like this and I can always wear them during allergy season for things like mowing the lawn. With all this talk about masks I find myself more incline to wear one now for things other then Covid.

We need to remember:the main purpose of mask wearing is not to prevent and protect ourselves from getting sick, it is to prevent our spread of particles into the air if we are sick with symptoms or more importantly asymptomatic.

Kimberly-Clark is a reputable brand. Ever heard of Kleenex or Huggies?

These are good quality masks. Personally, I find that the headband style fits me better than the earloop ones. Both styles are proven to be effective and they've been reviewed multiple times for the FDA's Appendix A [fda.gov] list, which puts them way above other KN95 masks. Aaron Collins' excellent real-world testing [youtube.com] also showed that these masks are very effective at filtration without being difficult to breathe through. And, they're coming from a reputable vendor (unlike all the shady eBay and Amazon 3rd party ones). They're economical too - a good quality respirator like this can be used in rotation [nd.gov] for weeks - I get around 40 hours.

This is exactly the kind of mask that we all ought to be using. At this price, there's no reason to bother with so-called "surgical" masks, few of which have any sort of data to prove effectiveness.

What I am saying is that during the pre-price gouging era this was a standard price for this type of mask. A mask, which, similar to its name, 95% of the population has no actual need for wearing

Germany just mandated medical grade masks. If other countries follow expect prices to go up again.

thought this made from Korean, instead of China. I got allergic a word made in China showing front of my face.
But but China is quality now.. They got the best tooling and materials to make this. I bought a mask made from a mother's friend for 15 dlls... Do you think it is better than this china mask? Of course no...
I also at first refuse to wear the made in China on this mask... But honestly it is better than the wyze and others... Green color font and all stuff written on it make it look very pro.

I guess I should have specified. Kimberley Clark is a name brand. Powecome is not.

Agreed if people don't believe in masks then why do air conditioning in cars and water dispensers i. Refrigerators have a filter and I am not including politics in this lol 😂
N95 Respirators Not for Use by the General Public
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not recommend that the general public wear N95 respirators to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including coronavirus (COVID-19). Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for health care workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.
