Yes, I have used on projects and is a good DIY tool. Basement rafters, rehabbing furniture etc. I always back-roll any spray applicator so it assists with the initial application and does a great job

To clarify, you're taking a roller just to make sure everything gets covered? How's the cleanup,setup? Any special processes needed, or do you have any other tips/tricks? thanks for your input, btw. I'm just looking for something to streamline painting things

Back-rolling provides better adhesion to the surface and works itself into the surface more than just a spray. It's just what I do and it makes sense to me, others can argue it does nothing. As far as cleanup, you can throw the bag away when done but you just run water through until it is clean. Need to take care of it and make sure valve is clear and no paint is clogged and ready to go again. Similar to any other sprayer but easier to work with due to its size and can clean with a 5 gallon bucket.

Always annoying to think about the cleanup afterwards, but totally worth it for the ease and speed of painting, especially on doors/cabinets.

Baseboards, trim, quarter round, deck boards, spindles, a basic sprayer like this comes in handy. I'm in for one. Even cheaper than a cheap harbor freight sprayer

Back rolling looks better. But if you ever have to repair or touch up an area it will stick out like a sore thumb if it isnt back rolled

I have this gun and I don't like it at all ! It doesn't shoot a constant flow ! It Shoots in spurts which leaves heavy spots

Is there any applicability if you know how to use an air gun? I might be painting a new vanity and just planned on using a siphon feed gun. But I only have experience spraying automotive style 2k paint. Idk how other paint would atomize and distribute with an air gun.
