Great game. As a heads up, for the game's 10 year anniversary they going to be releasing a definitive final edition [steampowered.com] in March that will include a bunch of updates, the best fan made mod, and a bunch of other stuff.



Edit: was corrected, rebirth will be required for Binding of Issac: Repentance, so that is the version you should buy

great value, if you like other roguelikes like Hades or Gungeon, this is the game that basically pushed the genre into the mainstream

Just go all in on the After Birth Plus and Repentance - I have this for PC ps4 and Switch ( favorite version) Honestly one of the best Rogue Likes out there like Hades

This original was made in Flash! (Rebirth was a ground-up remake.) It arguably has the better music and I did put several hundred hours into it.

Still trying to find a moderately priced Switch version! Some Walmarts have the physical for $7, huge YMMV on that one however.

But, seriously, I love The Binding of Isaac (from OG to afterbirth+). I have literally thousands of hours sunk into this series across PC, Vita, Switch, and even the 3DS. The reason I like Isaac (especially after Rebrith came out) is that I can do a full run through in about 30 minutes and each time I get a different combination of items and the bosses have enough variety to keep me on my toes. It's a comfort game for me at this point and I'm playing it because I enjoy the gameplay, not for the story.

Also, for anyone considering this, check out the reviews. They are fairly high. I'd go for rebirth as well.

If you like card games, check out binding of isaac four souls. It's a farking blast.

no story? I completely disagree. This game has some of the highest replayability of anything else I own. And the mechanics of progression require continued playthrough. The story is told over each each game - kinda a FNAF feeling. Super excited for Repentance.
