Yeahhhh unless you're getting this in like-new condition for sub $600 idk what the appeal is. The razer blade with 1650ti has a 120hz screen which is nicer and more functional (even with the limited gpu power). The build is wayyy more premium too. The only thing this has going for it is decent cpu power at a lower price. But just spend a few hundred more for it's big brother with 120hz screen and 2060 max q, which is bound to come down in price.

Just be patient and wait for 3060 laptops.

You buy this one for the cpu. $600 for mobile 16 threads is pretty damn good

For a mid tier ROG, 8GB of soldered Ram is disappointing. Why do they need to solder this in, no way to upgrade for more memory intensive programs.

Exactly mine is running full speed transcoding at the moment - sold my 3700x mid tower after I got this - not sacrificing much in my use case

Not true. RAM is upgradeable. I have this laptop and upgraded to 16GB with ease.

Value is in a 8 core, 16 thread laptop with great build quality and excellent battery life. RAM and SSD can be upgraded and it runs quiet, even when doing light gaming.
