Comes pre-oiled you need to generally oil it once every two months or after every basket if you shred a lot. You can use mineral oil, canola oil, and some other ones. The official Fellowes shredder oil is 99% canola oil. Microcut shredders should be oiled more often.

You can get the spray canola oil and spray both sides if a piece of paper. Run that through the shredder and it's oiled

Yep. The msds shows the Fellows shredder oil is 99% canola oil. The other 1% is probably a preservative to keep it from going bad. You can use straight canola oil but don't over do it. The excess oil can go rancid and smell. You can also use mineral oil which doesn't go bad. The best way is to drizzle small amounts in S shapes on a paper and shred it.

Saw these in store, and they are tiny except the 10 Sheet Capacity one which is a bit decent in size and run time. The others $29.49-$41-99 say run time 5 minutes (and rest because of overheating?) and this is a hassle unless you shred bills/papers everyday after receiving them...I have a stacks of themRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Ordered the high end one. I like the extra capacity and the basket with window comes out of the machine. You don't have to remove the shredder off the basket.

Was about to go to Costco for a Royal, but this'll due for half the price!
