Microsoft has recently announced that the price of Xbox Live Gold is going up. The $60 1 year membership will now be $60 for a 6 month membership. If you are subscribed at the current rate they will honor a renew at your old price.

Retailers are now carrying the new $60 6 month cards. You can get ahead by stocking up on the old cards at their original price points being the price hike. This will make the gamepass trick more expensive too at the new price points, so now is the time.

Thx! That is what I thought. So I tried from an member (different Costco card) that had not purchased one ever, but still cancelled.

The way I read this is that 12 month isn't changing right? And it's only in certain regions

What are they thinking...

Remember when people were upset at even having to purchase something like this to play online? $120/year is insane for what you get.

I can only assume there will be another piece of news to make sense of this.

To me it sounds like it's going away. Wouldn't make sense for it to have a 6 month that cost $59.99 AND a 12 month at the same exact price. As for regions, not sure but certainly this is for US which I assume is where all of us on slickdeal live.
