Microsoft has recently announced that the price of Xbox Live Gold is going up. The $60 1 year membership will now be $60 for a 6 month membership. If you are subscribed at the current rate they will honor a renew at your old price.
Retailers are now carrying the new $60 6 month cards. You can get ahead by stocking up on the old cards at their original price points being the price hike. This will make the gamepass trick more expensive too at the new price points, so now is the time.
I've provided a few good prices below. Take advantage while you can.
Costco: 2 years for $95.00

To be fair, though, you don't get to keep EVERY apple in the bag...but the MS and EA games on there likely won't be going anywhere for a while.

Remember when people were upset at even having to purchase something like this to play online? $120/year is insane for what you get.
I can only assume there will be another piece of news to make sense of this.
They used to make you pay for live to used Netflix. Does that make sense to you?
