Microsoft has recently announced that the price of Xbox Live Gold is going up. The $60 1 year membership will now be $60 for a 6 month membership. If you are subscribed at the current rate they will honor a renew at your old price.
Retailers are now carrying the new $60 6 month cards. You can get ahead by stocking up on the old cards at their original price points being the price hike. This will make the gamepass trick more expensive too at the new price points, so now is the time.
I've provided a few good prices below. Take advantage while you can.
Costco: 2 years for $95.00

I think I'm just going to wait for the 3060 laptops and call it a day, forget the series X. Yes I know the multiplayer is much better on Console but if this is the way they're going about it I can't support it. I just can't be that much of a sheep I can't.
edit: it sounds like from the blog post they're giving us 45 days to get on board or g f t o. damn. might have to bite the bullet. wow

It's the same that they did with the buggy dvr function on the xbox. Many wanted them to increase the Dvr length, but no, instead Microsoft cut the record length in half for their Series S/X consoles.
I would say I used to agree with your stance on PC vs console, but I don't think that argument holds water right now. Oh, and plus GamePass Ultimate gives me free games on my PC - I'm currently playing MS Flight Simulator and Crusader Kings 3 on my computer, with Control, A Plague Tale, and Kingdom Come Deliverance waiting in the backlog.
