You can't compare a specific guitar to an entire brand
Epiphone Masterbilt is a much better guitar - all solid wood vs solid top on DA
D'Angelico is knocking it out of the park lately on their newer models. If you haven't tried their products yet, I'd highly recommend them. Their acoustics have a bright Taylor-like sound, and their electrics have a great Gibson 335 vibe.

The demo video sounded a bit too scratchy on the treble side. Not quite full enough in the middle, or even hinting at lows. Might be the EQ on the electronics, or the nature of that instrument.
