Almost everything on the greenworks site is 20% this weekend. Use code NEWYEAR. Ends 1/24/21. Many batteries are already sold out.

I have been waiting for greenworks to release the 80v version of the power inverter for some time. It just came out and is included in the 20% off sale.

By my calculation, a 4Ah 80v battery would be equivalent to 320 Wh. For those with the 80v batteries, this is a great resource to have during power outages.

Has anybody tried using the inverter to run a cable modem and WiFi router?

My wife and kids would happily freeze and starve to death in an outage as long as the WiFi kept working...
No, the modification is easy though. I have Kobalt batteries and Greenworks string trimmer. Modified 1 of the batteries to work. Just look on youtube. I have the Kobalt 80v inverter. Bought it when it was $80 in December @ Lowes. Works fine to run TV, lights, etc.

I did use this deal to buy the edger attachment to go with the string trimmer.

Lots of the batteries have been sold out since November.
Did pull the trigger on the 60v self propelled lawn mower with 2 4ah batteries. Its been cheaper in the past at home depot, but I spent 480 no tax no shipping.

Tax by me is 8.5% so save a good chunk with no tax.

So just curious, what would be a good thing to run with the inverter with a 5amp battery

You can't really run anything with 300W especially on a modified sine wave inverter.

Nice. I've been waiting for an 80 V inverter for this or Kobalt. I have a good bit of 80 V Kobalt tools and checked and see they also have an inverter available. Thanks for the heads up.

Most likely you would have to modify the battery or the inverter. winnike commented above that there is a kobalt version available.

I wonder what this 80v would do in my kid's power wheels. . .
