For example the Galaxy S9 has the Snapdragon 845, here is the Notebookcheck page for that processor. https://www.notebookche
And the newest processor that Notebookcheck has is the Snapdragon 865, here is that one https://www.notebookche
Here is the Snapdragon 690 in the Nord N10 https://www.notebookche
The Snapdragon 690 inside this phone is roughly the same performance as your Galaxy S9, but the Snapdragon 690 has a slower GPU, roughly half the speed as your S9

5G deals on the mid-level phones will be the norm for the next 6-12 months as the flagship phones demand a premium but slowly come down over that same period.
One thing to note, ALL semiconductors are going into a heavy allocation due to poor planning on capital equipment purchases, issues at the wafer fabs, logistics nightmares, chip/die-packaging shortages, the list is endless.
COVID has disrupted the global supply chain more than anyone outside of our industry realizes. Not sure how this affects 5G deals going forward, meaning - it could only be some phone makers or it could disrupt the majority.
Even the most positive, sunny, and unrealistic forecasts see problems lasting at an absolute minimum for the next 6+ months.
Most everyone else pegs these problems to last 18-24 months before the market becomes stable and the chipmakers catch up with demand.
Go check reporting on Samsung, Broadcom, NXP, Qualcomm, T.I., etc.
It's going to be a bumpy ride.
