Now, getting even decent shorts for $15 is a deal but let's not misrepresent what these are to begin with.

The total shipped with tax was $6.50
Yes, I know it is likely not a high quality pair but for that price, I can use it on my trainer indoors or wear it on laundry day.

Got a pair of the all black shorts for the same price. All color/patterns showed the extra 30% off option for me.
Anything longer than that on city streets and I will be sore if I didn't wear Izumi PRO shorts.
I have tried a slightly padded saddle which helps some. If I was worried about the weight, I would lose a pound or two, and keep the seat.
Before I get bashed, my short rides are around 20 miles, longer rides are around 2.5 hours and 35 miles.
Anything longer than that on city streets and I will be sore if I didn't wear Izumi PRO shorts.

I've purchased cheap shorts in the past as well. One pair was too short, one was too small, 2 pair were spot on and I still use them today and they are about as comfortable as my pearl izumi's.
For reference, my rides are 26-70 miles at a time. Lately more on the 26 mile side.
