I bought the 18 sheet and put it to use. It didnt skip a beat. I literally emptied the bin like 12 times and has 6 kitchen sized full garbage bags full. I like the thin design of it. I only wish you could flip the top part to be left or right oriented though cuz that's where the papers go in

highly recommend the 18 cut one

Target one is 8 sheet with 15 min continuous use. This one is 12 sheet with 30 min continuous use. Obviously motor is stronger on this with larger bin. Target one is like small trash can where you need to lift top to empty the bin. This one has pullout bin, so the motored top doesn't need to be removed. I use 8 sheet as i only shred once a week or so. If you shred often, this will be much more convenient.

Same, it is A quiet beast, I think it's worth the extra $36 if it is going to get A fair amount of use.

Thanks OP. I found the big boy at my local Sam's but, $98 delivered after tax. I need a knew to replace an old Costco Fellows shredder that had worked very well through the years, until I ran some junkmail through that had a nickel stuck to the paper. Tore up the teeth along several rows. I went from a micro-cut to a ribbon shredder just that quick.

Hopefully, this one has the power like the Fellows had. I didn't have to wait around for it. Now I at least check the junk mail for the coins..

Am I the only one that misses the $5 to $10 after MIR deals? Have one that I got nearly free years ago.

Non-members can buy this too.

They just add-on a 10% "handling fee" (why they don't just call it a "non-member fee" I don't know...)

Total for me would be $69.66 shipped for the 12-sheet.

Over 5 years ago there was a deal posted on SD for 5 FAR shredders. I got all 5 and believe they were 6 sheet shredders. They were extremely weak and within 3 years all of them were dead even though I am a very gentle shredder and would only shred 1 sheet at a time.

At Office Depot 18 months ago I got an open box Ativa 12 sheet shredder on clearance for $30.I'm still using it today. The 12 sheet shredder feels like it has exponentially more power than the 6 sheeters. I also baby the 12 sheeter and the most sheets I do at a time is 2.

I bought the 12 sheet Friday (same price) from a suggestion in the Target shredder thread and received it yesterday. It is replacing a crosscut 8 sheet shredder I have used for years. I got tired of the 8 sheet overheating like most (if not all) cheap shredders do within a short period.

This shredder is extremely quiet compared to my old one. I also like that I don't have to remove the top to empty it. With the 30 minute runtime, microcut and 12 sheet shred capability I am surprised this is so cheap compared to others with similar features. It really is a steal at this price.

This unit can take cd/dvds for those looking for that feature. I don't plan on using it for that, but I know others might. It also shreds credit cards easily which I did try out.

Amazon basics had something with similar specs for $185. This looks like a great buy for the 18 sheet one for $100 less.

In what way? 18 sheets is more than 10. 30 minute runtime is better than 7.

Bought the smaller one for home use. Seems like overkill for ripping up junk mail and cards but should last forever given the low workload.

Funny, someone posted this on the last shredder deal I picked up the 18-sheet one on Saturday for this price. Overall great!

Even tho it says 30 min for the 18-sheet, its 40min on the box compared to the 12-sheet

Got one! Thank you! It replaced my old insignia shredder that would always get jammed.
