BJ's has a few candles on sale for $5.98 which are available---keep in mind many of these seem to be clearance from the fall/autumn/holiday scents.

Note the Normal size is 22 oz, but these are still a great deal at $6. I ordered 6 & having them shipped to me. I signed up with a 2nd email address, free 24 hour shopping Pass. Better then going to a store, $47 for 6 shipped to my door. You can also do the $10 Pass for Online shopping only for $10

Not even remotely true. Yankee Candles profit margins for candles are very high because of their branding. At the end of the day, they're using very similar ingredients with similar burn time as well. People are easily paying an extra $15 for the branding alone. Plus, candles are super easy to make, honestly. If you burn often or want to give decent gifts out, you could make 50 of these 19 oz jars for under $100 including ingredients and would take under a couple of hours. Would probably be fun for your kids or wife/gf.

I got these to give as gifts, so the brand matters - you can give a Yankee Candle as a gift and that's all you need, but you'd look cheap giving just a Walmart candle.

Not saying Yankee doesn't charge more for their branding, but Walmart candles don't seem to be the same. Every time I've gotten/used a Walmart candle it makes the air feel thick and waxy when breathing in. Don't have that issue with other brands; it's specifically the MainStays ones.

Then you should let the SD mods know so that they don't allow any more candle deals to be posted in the future. They can just replace them with your post as it's the killer end all deal for all future scented candle deals. Maybe someone can post a way to make knitted tops so that I can ignore any future deals on sweaters.

Where did you get the impression that I was against Yankee Candles? It's a great deal for under $10 but they are overpriced for the $23 price they retail for. Don't be upset at someone for offering another option to others. Sweaters aren't easy to make. Candles are easier than pancakes to make...
