Note the Normal size is 22 oz, but these are still a great deal at $6. I ordered 6 & having them shipped to me. I signed up with a 2nd email address, free 24 hour shopping Pass. Better then going to a store, $47 for 6 shipped to my door. You can also do the $10 Pass for Online shopping only for $10
If you choose the ones that are sold out in stores, shipping is free. I got three jasmine and cashmere candles shipped for $19.

Do I need to cancel the membership after 1 day trial to avoid being charged?

Where did you get the impression that I was against Yankee Candles? It's a great deal for under $10 but they are overpriced for the $23 price they retail for. Don't be upset at someone for offering another option to others. Sweaters aren't easy to make. Candles are easier than pancakes to make...
Dunno. I've not made candles, but I've made a lot of pancakes and I feel like they're probably easier...

Boil the wax, add the fragrance, pour the wax into jars. The most difficult part is watching the temperature of the wax... that's really all it is.

The inventory on their site is all over the place. One store supposedly had several scents and they didn't. Another store supposedly had a few scents and they had almost all the clearance scents. Plus in one of the stores, there are multiple displays. Happy hunting!

Usual Walmart candle is $5 for 20 oz. so this isn't that great of a deal.

Not even remotely true. Yankee Candles profit margins for candles are very high because of their branding. At the end of the day, they're using very similar ingredients with similar burn time as well. People are easily paying an extra $15 for the branding alone. Plus, candles are super easy to make, honestly. If you burn often or want to give decent gifts out, you could make 50 of these 19 oz jars for under $100 including ingredients and would take under a couple of hours. Would probably be fun for your kids or wife/gf.
The scent of Yankee candles is waaayy better than the walmart candles. You may know about candle making, but you can't possibly think the walmart candles are made with the same quality and amount of scent as the Yankee candles. They aren't. It's not even close.
I've been using Yankee Candles for over 20 years. Way back then, I used to stop at their flagship store in Deerfield Ma. once a year on family vacation. That was before I learned about Slickdeals. Yes, they were very pricey. Shopping at the flagship, we usually got some good deals on clearance items, but it was still expensive.
I always keep an eye out for good candle scents at a good price. I have yet to find anything better than Yankee Candle. There is one exception. Glade Atmosphere candles. They were amazing, but the scents were limited. Of course Glade discontinued them.Frown

Also, saying candles are 'super-easy" to make is a bit much. I'm sure lot's of people don't have the room, supplies or clean-up time available to make our own.

I never implied that the Walmart ones were better but just that the ingredients are very similar. I didn't even know Walmart sold similar sized Yankee Candles.

And LOL at your picture trying to demonstrate candle making. First off, that person's home is just disgusting. Secondly, watch this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5...ndleSupply

If this is too difficult and requires 'too much' room or supplies, then IDK what to tell you.

All you need are:

Wax
Saucepan
Candle tins/jars
Candle wicks
Thermometer
Food scale
Candle fragrance (optional if you don't want any fragrance)

That's six items that could fit in a small box... I have no idea where you got that picture from but that house is disgusting and cluttered. Yeah, I'm sure the container labeled "Free Dirt" is totally for candle making... LOL.......
I guarantee you that if you actually tried doing it or heck, just watch the video, then you'll realize just how crazy the margins are.
