Normally hovers between $23-$25 (check out CCC) - not the historically low $9.99 from 2016, but likely next best price...

Corelle plates are great. They are very hard to break, they do last forever.

I especially like that they are thin (easy to store) and they are microwave safe. People don't realize that most earthware and stoneware actually get HOT in the microwave because they absorb the RF energy while corelle plates do not. They will of course get hot because of your food. But they won't explode or crack like earth and stoneware used in a microwave.

Yes I used stoneware and earthware in the microwave for decades and they only rarely broke, but they still aren't meant for microwave use.
The ones from Ikea kind of streaks grey with scuff marks from scrubbing pretty easily. Had Corelle sets my entire life and they've held up nicely. Plus I do want to support made in US. To each their own.
IKEA sells a clone version of these Corelle. Called oftast or something like that. Each plate or bowl is around $1. Comes in different sizes too. Looks like the plain white Corelle.

Here's the 9" plate. $0.79 each. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/ofta...-30258913/

These are great plates but they have such great patterns now. Given these plates last forever, I paid a premium last year for a pattern. Significant price drops on Camel.

I gave you a thumbs up

We got a bunch of corelle bowl/plates a few years ago. They have been our daily go to however they do deteriorate over time. The very edge of all our plates and some bowls have been looking funky and occasionally would chip off tiny pieces. We still use them. One time a small chip actually cup my fingers while I put clean ones back in the shelf. They don't shatter when my little ones drop them, so that's a big plus.

Yes, I just got 6 of the Ikea serving bowls for $1.99 each vs 3 Corelle Winter Front ones for $25 at Walmart. Ikea ones may feel a little thinner and cheaper, but can't really see much of a difference. And if one breaks or chips, back to Ikea for another one.

I thought the same when I bought them but they chip very easily so all the ones got about a year ago are trashed

The Ikea ones never lasted us anywhere near what the Corelle have lasted. We have the same Corelle plates for decades... Best plates purchased ever. $16.99 is pretty much the best price I can see for these in recent history (4-5 years based on 3camel).
