Setup was incredibly easy, just plug in the bulb, and use the C by GE app to connect to it. Google and Alexa both recognized the bulbs right away.
The clock setup was super simple with the Google Home app too. Bright easy to read display with the outside temperature also shown. Up top there are easily accessible volume, play, and power(?) buttons.

I believe this comment is wrong. The box literally states "Simple setup without a hub". My experience with similar products is downloading a specific application, link up with the lights and connect them to your WiFi. From there you can control from either the manufacturer application or link it to your google /Alexia account for voice control.

This is wrong. You can control the lights with the clock. Just put them all on the google home app

I need the clock but not the bulbs. Plus I already have 4 of these bulbs sitting on a shelf and not being used. Interested in trading the clock for 4 more bulbs?
