Great VPN. They recently released a statement with screenshots from websites that rate VPNs for money, and basically said they are no longer playing that game. That they would rather invest that money in the platform (because some of the sites were complaining that they could not make enough commission based on their sale prices).

Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.

Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.

I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.

Wish they had the lifetime plans available again

Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

Many have apps. Some, including the two I mentioned, have series available on demand right on their website, but you have (to appear) to be in the UK to watch them. Connect via a UK VPN and you're in.
I use a different VPN (lifetime HOLA premium), but it looks like BBC has caught on. It always says I am not in the UK now.

To be fair, they have increased their feature set over time - so it might not have when the commentor looked last.

It is very slow though, in general. Which is fine for some uses.

I have no issues with slow down and it's faster than IPVanish most times. I'll also add I got a free lifetime account thanks to SDs and actually pay for IPVanish so have nothing to gain saying that.

I mean, sure, for your particular use-case. I consistently get 85-90% of my 400Mbps down speed using NordVPN. It's always on with weeks of uptime (I'll restart my computer before it loses the connection) and it never leaks the IP.

Please, tell me how paying more for Windscribe will help me? And if you can't, it's because I'm right: you'll find people who don't like any given VPN. It's all YMMV.

We haven't even touched on the fact that Windscribe is (last I checked) based in Canada, which belongs to Five Eyes. Yes, you're trusting any VPN not to keep logs, but I have more faith that a company based in a country without any laws compelling the release of user data than one that is. Because the fact is that neither you nor I can say exactly what data any VPN provider keeps.

You do you, man. Hopefully folks take your single review with the same grain of salt that they'll take my single review.
The whole 5-eyes thing is overrated:

I agree, if you're happy with NordVPN, no reason to change. But Windscribe is better. That could change, but as of today there is no comparison.

Wow. price has really gone up on this. I haven't been following....looks like in Nov 2018 I bought a Lifetime Pro Subscription to Windscribe VPN for $47
Haha. People really like rubbing that in our faces. But at least it shows that Windscribe are interested in growing their company to profitability. LIfetime subs will never make money, and companies which strictly only sell them won't be around for long. Wink

1) Complain to your VPN provider about that. They should fix it. That happened to me in the past with IronSocket, and when I brought it up with them, they had it fixed within a day.

2) I've got no such problems with Windscribe. Been rock-solid for 2+ years now and we watch UK programming almost daily.

Mine was expiring in November and just reupped. Windscribe has been solid, quick, and easy. A bit more expensive now, but still seems worth it for 3 years. Can't complain honestly.

I'm still using a different VPN I just bought a year for. If I buy now can I activate this later or does the code expire?

Have used this for years. Got the lifetime subscription. It works well. No complaints. I basically use it exclusively for watching netflix in other countries to explore their libraries. Works perfect with app on firestick or fire tv. Can also use for torrenting or whatever if that is your thing. Speeds seem pretty solid.

VyprVPN is has an offer ongoing $60 for 3 years. Is that better of this one?

I haven't tried VyprVPN actually, but you can see from the comments people are very happy with Windscribe. It's a cool company, and their product is solid. The world of VPN's is murky, so better to trust real peoples feedback than review sites.

I own both NordVPN and Windscribe and I can say, hands down, that Windscribe is light years ahead of NordVPN. Windscribe also doesn't pay for positive reviews or Youtubers to promote them. The money goes into their infrastructure instead, which is why it's so darn good. Smilie
Starting to wonder if they are paying you!?!? You seem VERY passionate about a vpn repeatedly say very similar lines throughout the thread.

I use and trust them... I jumped in on the last Lifetime subscription and I've been happy. Have even been able to use them to change my location (to Brazil) and get the region specific Xbox Gold discounted subscriptions to work using this.
