Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.
Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.
I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.
Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

This is a great deal. My Pro subscription was about to expire in 2 weeks. Glad I saw this.
Purchased on the Stacksocial site and claimed the voucher code there. Then logged into my Windscribe account and pasted the voucher code on my account with the voucher button there. Added 3 years to my existing subscription!
I have Windscribe installed on my PC, laptop, and multiple Fire TV/sticks.
(like maybe 5-10 hours in a month).
Not willing to pay anything more than $2 a month.
I actually have some expiration date coming up in 2025 or 2026, so it is similar to your situation. I would expect the date to extend once we get there. I did receive the email and have it logged somewhere for my records of "thank you for purchasing a lifetime subscription" so I guess I'll cross that bridge before you do and see where it goes.
Was meaning to move onto ProtonVPN or Mullvad since those 2 are recommended by IT security folks for privacy reasons, but thinking about it now, I'm finding I'm probably just fine paying $54 for 3 more years. Long as they don't get acquired by the likes of Kape Technologies.

I bought the lifetime deal a couple years back and have not been able to use it for the past half year or so. Every time I try to connect, it gives me an error: "Oops. Something went wrong and we couldn't connect you. Please try another location." It doesn't matter which location I connect to around the country and world. And no matter how many times I message customer service, I have yet to get any response. I've tried it on both mobile and desktop; I tried logging out and back in. Nothing. It's almost like they shut me down after about 2 years into lifetime service.
Just my 2 cents.
Windows, qBittorent is my client.
