Chase doesn't care. However, do not buy these online, try the store instead. You'll have no end of trouble if you have it mailed to you. If you buy it in a store, it will be activated at the cash register.

Does this get coded as regular staples purchase by chase?
Activation problems. Firstly, the card arrives unactivated, and you have to go to a web page (or call a number to activate it). Secondly, you almost always will have problems doing that. Just a terrible setup.

What is the problem encountered when this gift card is mailed to your home?
Has anyone had recent experience with these cards?
I bought 2x of them a few days ago, online, to be delivered to my house soon.
Took another look at the staples product page. Had noticed the 1-star review and ignored it when purchasing, figuring it was probably a small sample. But looking again, I see the one star is based on 40 REVIEWS!!!
Actually reading the reviews now, it looks like there was a similar deal this time last year, creating huge activation disaster for everyone, reflected in those reviews. So I'm (foolishly?) hoping that this year they have it all figured out.
Does anyone have recent positive or negative experiences? No need to tell me what a disaster last year was - I now can see that. And if I had not already bought these, I'd be steering clear.
All of these bad reviews activating these cards are from Feb. 2020 or earlier. Has anyone had any more recent experience having them delivered to their home and activating them?
Rec'd card today. Unable to activate. says the proxy card number is invalid.
My tracking says it will be delivered by USPS. What was the return address on the envelope? I am thinking about writing "Refused" on the unopened envelope, having the mail carrier pick it back up, and trying to get a refund that way. But I am also wondering if that could be even a bigger hassle than trying to activate it.
