Missed this deal but by far the cheapest I've seen and would've gotten a 2nd if it were a different color. Lol
I've had these for about 6 months from the Verizon deal. Absolutely would never buy full price but at $140 it was a better option than the buds+(for me) and at $75 that's slick.
I think the hate on these come from the Google brand. Since they're a big name they should pump out the best products and these actually meet all of my expectations. The wireless headphone market is insane and I watched a lot of videos before finally landing on these.
Things I like:
1) Google assistant integration (works with smart home devices and can read back notifications)
2) streamline look on case and buds (No stem to snag, snug fit in ear, and no glossy case to easily scratch)
3) All touch controls are functional on each ear and can even be used independently or sharing with another person(each person can have their own volume too!)
Things I don't like:
1) sound quality just ok. (Good for podcast/audiobooks but not enough bass for the kind of music I like and no EQ in app)
2) battery life (I only use 1 at a time usually but doesn't exceed 1 1/2 hrs)
3) Call quality (works best in quiet environments and for sure not while eating anything. The programing in these unmutes the mic when your jaw moves so the other person hears every crunch, munch and slurp. Not ideal)
Looking forward to Googles 3rd iteration of these.

There is in fact an EQ in the app.
