A one-year subscription costs $99. The offer is to spend $99+ and get $99 back, so it's a free one-year subscription.

Get a one-time $99 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single subscription-based purchase of $99+ online at The Motley Fool or at fool.com/amex [fool.com] by 5/8/2021. See terms.

Quote :
Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American ExpressĀ® Cards are eligible. American Express Prepaid Cards, Corporate Cards and American Express Cards issued outside the United States are not eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid only on US website or at Fool.com/amex. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 5/8/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. The Motley Fool Terms and Conditions currently provide that unless you notify The Motley Fool that you want to cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription or membership fee will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example, monthly, or annually). This means that The Motley Fool will collect the then-applicable membership or subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card The Motley Fool has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. Send an email to [email protected] after you have signed up requesting opt-out for the auto renewal. After I did that, they sent me an email that said: "we have disabled the auto-renewal feature"

If you search online - you will find 2-year packages to StockAdvisor or Rule-breakers for only $98 (one-year for $59)

Rule Breakers (1-Year) for $99:

Stock Advisor (1-Year) for $99:

TURN OFF AUTO-RENEWAL
All Motley Fool premium subscriptions are set to automatically renew for your convenience, and to ensure uninterrupted access to your premium service's investing guidance. If you would like to turn off the automatic renewal feature, we can assist.

To help with your request, please email us at [email protected], or by filling out the online Contact Customer Service form.

[b]For those curious how Motley Fool's stock picks are performing I setup a pie (portfolio) on M1Finance with 41 of the most recent suggested stocks from Tom and David. As long as I see reps coming from this thread so I know people are still using it I will update this link every Thursday to show the new recommendations.
https://m1.finance/2M-jgR32cPTC [Final update was on 04/08 due to apparent lack of interest].
M1finance gives you free trades and fractional shares which means you can transfer xxx dollars a week or 2 weeks and it will adjust it based on your percentages.
Advantage of fractional shares is explained well here: https://www.fool.com/investing/ho...al-shares/

For the people complaining about to much spam before you go crazy and cancel your account, go into your account settings and uncheck what you don't want. I have everything unchecked but the buy/sell alerts in stock advisor. https://www.fool.com/account/comm...-settings/

I just signed up. The first thing they do is try to sell you upgraded services for anywhere from $200-$14,000. The "premium" service we get is nearly useless. The last stock picks article is from December 28.
Swagbucks has 7500SB for the $99 yearly subscription as well, should be stackable for a nice MM.

Which one is better...Rule breakers or stock advisor?
Stock Advisor as far as I know, also keep in mind it's more aggressive.

I sent a request for a credit adjustment. All I ordered was 1 year of stock advisor starting from the AMEX link on their website. That's all the receipt says too.

They are not clear about whether cancelation results in a refund. I assume that that is deliberate. There seems to be a 30 day policy that applies and the T&C from AMEX do not appear to contradict or modify that, but the information only refers to refunds that "may apply."

I am willing to keep working with the website (ignoring the E-mail spam) to find value in it, but this deal has become an ordeal just getting it off the ground.

Upon further examining the T&C, the credit could conceivably not be applied until August, dependent upon the vendor reporting the transaction to AMEX, which I assume they did because I have an E-mail confirmation from AMEX that I took advantage of the offer.

I will dispute with Amex if the charges aren't reversed. With the amount of spam and this type of business, I regret even trying in the first place. Even if I am charged $99 and was credited, still wouldn't want to deal with this shitty company.

Urgh... we always knew this was a possibility... I believe they modified terms to add some verbiage. I don't recall what it said originally. I wonder how Chase and Swag are going to handle the situation. I guess we have to wait and see.
Luckily HD informed about this within 30 days of subscription when it is possible to cancel. For others, if they are clawed back on the CB it would be hard to get it canceled after a month.

Easily the worst offer I've ever done with Amex. Still no credit from Amex after almost 3 weeks and the cash back got clawed back by H******. I guess this is what's been holding up the Amex credit. Motley Fools and H****** are both now on my lifetime blacklist and I won't be doing another Amex offer for subscriptions like this.

I am also in same boat. If we cancel from account settings, will we get full refund considering 30 days trial ? Or emailing to customer care is safer option ?

I'm disappointed with Amex for allowing the advertiser to hold up the credits even with qualifying purchase made and confirmation emails sent, and for providing the advertiser with information regarding which card had the offer added and redeemed so they could figure out who double-dipped.

I had always thought Amex could only see the purchase amount and where the purchase was made and they would automatically issue the credit based on that information, but this is not clearly not the case here.

You tried to double dip and it didn't work. I don't understand why you're angry at them.

I spent $99 on getting myself lots of spam emails. If I shouldn't feel angry what am I supposed to feel?

Those are the updated terms..... below are the original terms but according to the overall Chase program terms, not using your Chase card should have caused the CB not to post, but many of us got it with Amex anyway.

The way I looked at this offer was if I could double dip, great... if not... I get the credit from Amex, cancel this shit, and end up even. I think those of us with Chase will be ok though.
