Although this often goes on sale for this price using AT&T or T-Mobile system, it rarely sells for this price as a Verizon MVNO.

This had been selling for $169 for the past many months, even when the other carriers were going for $99.

Sold by Tracfone

Included every 30 days for 360 days:
Preloaded SIM Card (Activation Required to get Service)
Unlimited Talk
Unlimited Text
1GB LTE Data

Those two deals aren't even similar. The $20 deal was amazing for someone with low usage but that deal has 1200 minutes and 1200 texts per year. This deal has unlimited talk and text. If you are a heavy talk & text user, this deal is much better.

It just depends on your individual usage patterns.
That's like comparing apples to oranges.

That deal is for 3gb and 1200 minutes and texts for an entire year.

That is not enough for any regular cell phone user.

This deal is unlimited talk and text, and 1gb fast speed per month. That's 12gb for the year. Perfect for talk and picture texting.

And btw, it seems like they let you go over the gb too. I have this on a phone which is currently at 1.86gb this month. They let it go over for some reason.

Maybe you should do some research before commenting and downvoting. This deal is extremely rare.

RedPocket, which I don't like, used to have a similar deal. But now they cut it down to 1000 minutes per month.

Just to confirm, I bought this plan from TracFone, my phone is Verizon compatible, but I am now being told by TracFone that the Net10 card is not compatible with my current TracFone service. I would need to switch to Net10 to provide the service and then transfer that service to TracFone, which will cause me to lose all of the data, text and minutes that have been carrying over forever. Is that correct? If so, I just wasted $100 by purchasing this deal.

Even though Net10 is owned by Tracfone, they treat them like separate companies, as they do with all of their brands. Their brands all compete with each other. Some have better data, some talk etc..

I'm not sure why you assumed a Net10 plan can merge with a Ttracfone plan. Why would that work?

Um... because it was sold by TracFone with the TractFone logo shown next to the name? Because I'm not very smart? I realize now that I should have researched Tracfone's holdings, subsidiaries, affiliations, acquisitions, etc. Instead, I was focused on the Verizon compatibility. Thanks for the supportive response though.

For anyone activating Net10 service, I encourage you to join their no-cost rewards program within 14 days of activation and enter a friend's referral code. It gives you free reward points which can buy a free month of service or even more.

I activated my service on 2/26, was able to join the rewards program today using a code and received points that can buy a $50 service plan. Going to save it until the 1 year is up so I can use it towards renewal.

When the 1 year plan is up, are you able to refill with another year-plan for $99.99?

Just chatted with a net10 online agent. He told me that, if I want to refill with the very same plan ($99.99/yr) next time I'll need to call or chat with net10. That's good, because for a backup number for urgency only I don't want to pay > $99.99/yr

I purchased the ATT sim card. Works well, but keep in mind... Once you use up the 1GB of data, there's a hard cut off and you get NOTHING. Its not like it throttles down to 2g. You are just DONE with NO data. Otherwise, this is a great value.

That is not accurate. It says it throttles to slower speed..

What part did you not understand when I shared I BOUGHT the sim card for this plan, I TRIED IT MYSELF, and I ran into a hard data cap? You are reading a description, I actually bought it and tested it out. To be more clear, I called and spoke with Net10 and the rep also confirms no data after 1GB; you have to wait for the data to refresh at the next month cycle.

It's still a good deal, just understand what you are getting yourself into.

I do not know which rep you spoke to, but I have a few lines with Net10 and their affiliates. They offer some plans with hard cap, and some without. Whenever the card says there is no hard cap, with my experience the speed just slows down.

I do agree that with the slow speed, you probably cannot stream a video, but it usually is good enough for emails and the like.

This deal is for people who don't need that much data.
